West Fork board weighs effects of annexation
Bad time to have to have to bus students liong distances... I'm sure those costs are apparent to Greenland after absorbing Winslow ISD and having to drive the kids right thru West Fork ISD to get them to class every day. My guess is that Winslow students will go to West Fork (as they should logically have in the 1st place), and Greenland will go to FayetNam ISD. At least the new FHS will be pretty close... IF they build it at the 15th & Morningside location, that is. (Of course that's contingent on UofA not trying to put the $$$ squeeze on the FHS purchase.) (Saturday Jun 28 | post #1)

Sneaky political move on the governor's part... to raise taxes on the businesses rather than on the voters directly. This lets us pay for the increase (that will be passed thru) and he avoids the political loss of votes of those voters who cannot see thru his ploy.
