It simply amazes me how ignorant so many are, including you. We waited until our home appreciated enough to move. That would be something you would not understand since it takes a few brains to do so. BTW, we are still trying to sell a piece of rental property we own down there, but of course the damn housing downturn has hit really hard, even in Cruces. A good friend of mine has told me how hard things are with home sales in the area, and she is a real estate agent, so she would know. Luckily for us, we have enough income to just wait it all out and eventually we will get the place sold. Of course, we could have sold it the first week if we wanted to be stupid and do owner financing. That seems to be what the majority of the Mexicans in LC want, owner financing, because they cna't get regular loans because of their atrocious credit. (Wednesday Jul 9 | post #42)

I agree with you. I was to the point of hating also. Now that we are back in MO, I have calmed down and feel blessed to be among normal people. :-) I can honestly say that I do miss the great weather, picking and using Prickly Pear Cactus fruit and of course, the great green chilis. When we moved back to MO, I brought with us 70-lbs of green chilis, roasted and frozen, along with 84 gallons of Prickly Pear Cactus juice that we collected and made and froze.
