My Ivermectin Treatment Story

Lynne, I don't think taking anything will help. You need to enlist a great bed bug exterminating service for you home. Bed bugs bite, but they don't burrow into your skin.  (Mar 1, 2013 | post #1328)

Hope -- I used antibiotics ages ago. But, you know this is just for the bacteria. Demodex and other travellers aren't affected by it. I am OK now. But my eyes are taking a while to heal, after a lifetime of this. You know, for skin you can put on wonderful emollients. With the eyes, it's slower. The castor oil, the eyedrops and a low carb diet all work.  (Feb 16, 2013 | post #1239)

UK2, sounds like you're doing so much better. I had a lot of eye involvement with rosacea -- lots of itching, crawling; eye docs telling me the surface of my eyes, which should be smooth, was "like sandpaper". Of course, I wasn't offered any advice about what to do aside from eye drops without preservatives (which would help a bit, but never solved the root of the problem). I found putting castor oil all over my eye area (lids, lashes; no fear of getting it into my eyes, because it's not toxic to the eye) before bed helped. Also just found a new formula eyedrop: Refresh Optive Advantage Lubricant Eye Drops. The inactive ingredients (yes, inactive, not active) include boric acid and castor oil. I saw this and thought, "this is for me!" And it really is -- my eyes feel almost normal (and feeling normal goes back several decades).  (Feb 16, 2013 | post #1236)

UK2 and everyone, there is interesting information about the use of coconut oil over at another site -- the rosacea support group. It's a message from yesterday. I cannot link you, b/c my computer has gone mad. But you can track it down googling with the info above.  (Feb 8, 2013 | post #1138)

Misery, Docs are "warning not to treat the scalp"? That's weird. Why would someone be warned off of treating her or his scalp? Besides that, mites and such burrowing things do go into the scalp. It's such a vulnerable skin and it's covered with hair follicles, which the mites use as hotels. Clearly, the docs who have never suffered from this stuff have no idea what it is, what it is like and what to do about it. Separately, I finally discovered that using facial cleanser on your eyes during regular facial cleansing really cuts down the itchies and dryness. I used to keep the cleansers away from my eyes! A childhood carryover from trying not to get soap into my eyes. Things to do: keep eyes lightly shut (not squeezed) and gently massage entire "mask" area (including between the eyes, as well as the brows and the outer corners -- the crows feet area) with a good, gentle cleanser. Yeah, I know it's common sense. But it never occured to me. OMG, Lol! Be well, Queen of Outer Space  (Dec 4, 2012 | post #1061)

Desperate, maybe you can try some baths using anti-bug ingredients. Epsom salts, borax and hydrogen peroxide are just 3 separate items that are available in the pharmacy. You have to judge the capacity of your tub (if it's huge you need more stuff to put in), but I'd say a cup of Epsom salts or a cup or borax or a half cup to one cup of hydrogen peroxide. Use warm to hotish water (not so hot it's uncomfortable)and soak for 20 minutes. You can find info for baths on line and just pick and choose.  (Nov 18, 2012 | post #969)

UK2, since you have this Aladin's cave of treasures and can use a monetary replenishment why not have it auctioned off? These are just things, after all, that are encumbering you. You said your family does not want them. The purpose of the items now is to bring you return on your investment in them. I'm glad you had some improvement on your hands. My Ivermectin Treatment Story

Wouldn't it be amazing if these horrible bugs were what it took to get UK2 and Susie together again? BTW, I'm here because of "ivermectin " searches. I suffered vast acne as a mere child which I was told would go away when I turned 16. Of course it didn't, and it just got worse. Upon changing to a cleaner diet I did get rid of the cystic acne, but found I was left red. Lots of it. Red threads and bumps. The derms all had different ideas, but bottom line they all said it was permanent and vascular and no matter what I did I could never get rid of it all that jazz. I had been using (finally! once I dared buy it) ivermectin and it's worked very well. This is topical, not pills. I feel my skin is chemically altered (perhaps from the rosacea insects, perhaps from a by-product, perhaps from the nutty chemicals the derms gave me!) and must become healthy again. That's why I'm here -- to learn how to attain health and let my skin do the job it was meant to do. And, of course, I am here to share anything that might help. I am glad UK2 has discovered what is causing all his needless suffering. I'd never heard of "thrips" . Looking at the pix, I see they have those long parts. Do you suppose this insect is what also caused Morgellons symptoms (the fibres that seem to grow out of the skin)? I wish you all well & hope you don't mind my 2 cents every so often (for a while I could not post due to some bug in my computer, that's why it looks like I just came on the scene suddenly. I've been following UK2's story for months). Finally -- I would like to hear the denouement of the story about that gold cross! Take care all. BTW, my screen name isn't about grandeur, it's a movie title: a 1950s sci-fi flick. In it Queen Talleah feels she needs to wear a mask...  (Nov 4, 2012 | post #755)

InUK2 -- I am SO glad to hear this. Didn't you use ivermectin before? Are you both taking pills and using it on your skin? I would think the one-two punch would work better than just using one kind or the other. (I've been here all along, but some bug wouldn't let the prove-you're-not-a -machine numbers appear. So I couldn't post for a while.)  (Oct 28, 2012 | post #689)
