A few months ago the grand opening for the Anchor Point volunteer Fire Department in Nikolaevsk took place. It is a wonderful achievement that has taken a lot of hard work and dedication on certain members of the Nikolaevsk Community Council. As a resident of this small community, I have all ways felt safe to live there, but now I feel more safe, of course the fire department is about 4 minutes from my front door and I can boast a fire hydrant at the end of my driveway. Living in a tiny community presents unique challenges and I shall, in the future, share some of those challenges with you. I shall share as i am Out and About. (May 12, 2009 | post #1)
