Calculated risks

well...you can't argue with production. ALLEN, BF and HARVIN..good job KLINK. maybe he is a good judge of talent after all ( as long as it isn't the QB spot anyway). i like the fact that KLINK will look you in the eye and not BS a player: that is a good quality in anybody. well, i too have to admit that i wanted JC as well, i also crapped all over KLINK for not going after him. hindsight has perfect vision. however, i give credit where it is due...good call KLINK!  (Thursday Nov 26 | post #11)

For now, Vikings' Tarvaris Jackson happy to watch, learn from B...

you're right...that's why i said in the post...he is similar to MR.VICK. as for what BF said to him...not taking anything from BF, because he is definitely one who knows what he is talking about, however, i have a hard time believing MR.F spent a lot of time last season watching TJ play, to get a real good handle on his strengths and weaknesses. what else could he do, given the circumstances surrounding his arrival? i wouldn't expect him to say..." you would be better off looking for another line of work".  (Wednesday Nov 25 | post #54)

we said the same things about BOLLINGER, HOLCOMB etc.,how can you not see that even when he comes in with a big lead ( with a few exceptions)...he still has a hard time hitting open receivers, throwing down filed etc.: his first instinct is to run, run, and then run and this is with the game in hand. even the wide outs aren't sure where they should be or what they should do. after 3+ seasons of this...he has not shown enough improvement for me to think otherwise. as for last season's play against the kittens...KLINK had decided he would go with the hot hand ( which was GUS after TJ went 0-2 to start); then GUS had gotten injured...hence TJ was given his shot against the LIONS. when things weren't going well against the BEAGLES...KLINK should have sat TJ at half time but didn't and the rest is history. if TJ is learning from BF and if he wants to be the best he can be...then why doesn't he take the same approach...spending extra time going over defenses, in the film room etc., etc., etc. to those who say he hasn't played enough to develop...how many years has he been here? he has shown the level of play as he did last season, the season before...flashes of brilliance followed by stretches of mediocrity and inconsistency. he is similar to MR.VICK, a running QB with an occasional pass thrown in: as a backup, maybe, but as an NFL starter...highly unlikely....GO VIKES!!!  (Wednesday Nov 25 | post #12)
