Girl dies car-surfing

Well I'm not going to read all 70+ comments to see if this has been said or not, so here I go. First: My deepest condolences to the family of the girl, May she Rest In Peace, God Bless Her. Second: where do teens get these wild hair ideas? T.V.!!!!! Even though shows like Jackass put in their little disclaimer, teens "THINK, Oh I can do that, that doesn't look hard" Other movies show people doing these stunts, yes they are stunts and the stunt people are trained and ... etc. But it "Looks" easy to do. Teens not knowing the hours and planning or safety that was worked on to do those stunts. NO, I am not saying to cut out all the stunts from t.v. show's and movies. That will never happen, plus the majority of us love watching them. Heck, even cartoons have goofy things happening in them and we laugh our buns off. No, teens nor some adults, (if you have watched some of the funniest videos) do NOT think of the outcome, they just do it because it looks like fun and "I won't get hurt" thinking. Now, should the girl who was driving be held responsible? That is a hard one for me to put an answer to. One part of me says yes, that is for being part of a thoughtless act. The other part says no, because ... well I don't really know why not to be honest, so I'll wing it and say because she had no idea her friend would end up being killed in the act. It was an accident, a thoughtless accident on everyones behalf.  (Oct 15, 2009 | post #90) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

Downtown businesses on edge after rash of break-ins

Can you shoot someone if they break into your place of buisness, like you can if they break into your home? If so, play the "payback is a Bummer" card to these scums. Other ideas, Electrify the registers when you lock up, oh heck, just electrify anything you think they would take, and not with a small zap, but fry their greedy little hands. Umm put a rattlesnack in the register so the next time they steal it and open it, it'll be like a jack in the box, what a surprise hu? How bout some good watch dogs who won't run out of the store when the windows or doors are busted, but just lay there and wait for the scums to get near them? I'm being serious, it seems store owners now have to figure a way to protect their investments since there is no help or not enough help from the police. Second thought is all of my ideas wouldn't work because then the scums would turn around and sue the owners, our law allows that ya know, and they would win. Soooo spend hundreds of more dollars, that you probably don't have because your profits have been used up to replace and repair everything that has been distroyed, to purchase cameras and everything else that goes with it, that the police nor courts could give a rats butt about when you show them the proof because everyone is too busy to care. BUT if they do bust the scums, they will be out of jail in 24-48 hours to hit you up again. WOW, Don't we just have a WONDERFUL legal system? I'm not just talking about NM, because this is happening EVERYWHERE. So the ditz's that think ABQ is the ONLY violent place on earth ... get a grip on reality.  (Oct 10, 2009 | post #12) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

Hawaiian man arrested in woman's death

OK, I can agree with thinking on it and Patrick Warchol, and I will apologize for calling Ballonist an idiot, I'm sorry. It sounds like some are saying to always second guess if we should go somewhere or do something, always thinking of the "what if this happens or that happens". And never do anything alone. Gawd, we'd never leave our homes for fear of getting mugged, murdered, in a wreck, or something else bad happening outside the safety of our homes. What's worse is reading the next day or hearing the whispers that Jane just died because she slipped in the shower, fell and smacked her head on the tub, knocked her out and she drowned. Bummers, now always have someone with you when you shower too? OK, for some or most I can hear the cheers, "ohhhhhhhhh yesssssssss that sounds great", but I'm trying to understand their concept of thinking. NOONE asks to be raped! NOONE asks to be mugged! NOONE asks to be murdered! How dare people say, "well she or he went out alone so they asked for it." Now can I call those people an IDIOT? or still just be nice? ;)  (Oct 10, 2009 | post #14) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

Hawaiian man arrested in woman's death

First, my deepest condolences to the family and may you Rest in Peace Bryanna. Balloonist, that is a dumb and heartless comment you made. She was also going to meet up with family there. The other is, why should she have stayed home? No one knew this was going to happen. She took a trip to a beautiful Island to celebrate her birthday. Why not? Why do or should we always have to stay home to do something for "just in case" something happens? So, no one should ever travel? You don't think Bryanna's family have not thought of that already? Anything can happen anywhere, look at all the murders EVERYWHERE. Heck, we now even have lawyers and cops killing people. We would all be hermits if we all thought like you do. You're an idiot!  (Oct 9, 2009 | post #2) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

Police find abducted child, arrest father

I just love great news. Now I hope he learns a lesson or two or more in jail, like what a beating feels like to start with.  (Sep 30, 2009 | post #8) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

Officers investigate death of child

May you Rest in Peace child. May you Rot in Hell Child Murderer! This is just another thing that baffles me. Why do people beat children? Is it because they cannot fight back? Because they themselves are weak? We know they are scum, no, they are lower than scum. All child abusers should be tied up in public and beat, continuously, let them heal, then beat them again. They themselves may have been beaten as a child, BUT they know right from wrong and CHILD ABUSE IS WRONG!!!!! NO EXCUSES!!!  (Sep 29, 2009 | post #8) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

2 men injured in train accident

My prayers are with the boys to pull this, and if you know of updates please let us know.  (Sep 28, 2009 | post #49) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

2 men injured in train accident

I hope the both of the boys pull through. I also hope that common sense got knocked into them and maybe let other teens know what the price of stupidity is, almost death. Does it matter if they ran through the barriers or got around them somehow? NO, the point is they played a very deadly game, they were stupid and they lost, and almost lost their lives. Obviously it's not just teens trying to beat the train. This has happened way too many times. I also doubt the train blows it horns at 2am, maybe to warn the idiots it might have. No sympathy for stupidity. I don't feel sorry for them, nor anyone else who plays chicken with a train, who plays russian roulette with a train, or any games with a train, thinking they can beat the train. But as I said, I do hope they both recover.  (Sep 27, 2009 | post #27) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

Land dispute worries Balloon Fiesta pilots

GREED GREED GREED and more GREED! Money hungry **** HOLES! Just calling it what it is! Be escorted off, what? Are they going to steal a cactus, some dirt, maybe think a tumbleweed is actually and exotic plant and steal one of those too? Am I missing something on that land?  (Sep 27, 2009 | post #14) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

Court documents reveal details of murder

This is just sick! All four need to fry, not stay behind bars for the rest of their lives with 3 meals a day, cable tv, other "friends " around them. No, that is too good for them. Even solitary confinment would be too good for them. Where does such evil come from? How or when does this evel hit a person? I just don't understand. God Bless You Ellen, May You Rest in Peace.  (Sep 27, 2009 | post #10) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

Judge in Fierro case denies mistrial motion

Family continues search for missing hunter

Kind of a harsh assumption there. They have spent weeks on the emotional roller coaster, what do you want them to do, raise their arms, cry out and scream, drop to their knees? I wish the best for them and for him also. I know alot of prayers are being said for him that he will be found safe. We can only hope so. God Bless  (Sep 27, 2009 | post #3) Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico
