ProToReAm Videos on "Deep Politics"

“Deep Politics.” That's a phrase unfamiliar to most of us. But perhaps that should change. “The phrase 'deep politics' was first coined by the eminent author, poet, and emeritus Berkeley professor, Peter Dale Scott.... In Deep Politics and the Death of JFK (1993), Scott used this term to refer to the covert machinations of the military, the hard right, the intelligence agencies, and organized crime—all of which coalesced in the assassination in Dallas.”(http://ti nyurl.com/33p2dy4 ) “Ahh, yes; another conspiracy theory,” you might say. Certainly each of us is entitled to believe what we will, but doing so doesn't necessarily make it true. Do you believe government is able and willing to lie, deceive, steal, misdirect and otherwise become corrupted? In that same vein, do you believe the mass media can and has been party to such government activities through it's minimal or, at times, non-existent coverage of such activities? If not, I submit such belief is not founded on historical fact. The challenge of this letter then is to encourage questioning and investigation of “deep politics” itself and, if it is true, to understand how it works itself out within the media, government and, ultimately, in our lives. Starting January 11, 2011 (note that this is a change from what was previously published), the Project to Restore America documentary schedule will be updated in order to present the “Understanding Deep Politics” conference held in Santa Cruz, CA, on May 14, 15 & 16, 2010. Conference speakers include: Peter Phillips of Project Censored; Annie Machon, a former MI-5 British Security Service intelligence officer; Peter Dale Scott, Canadian poet, published writer and former English professor, and more. Feel free to join us at “The Roost” to watch the videos with others, or simply visit http://understandi ngdeeppolitics.org /conference-video to view them online.  (Dec 31, 2010 | post #1)

"Project to Restore America" Documentaries for Oct/Nov 20...

It was two years ago that Barak Obama garnered more votes than John McCain in the 2008 Presidential election. Since that time, and even well before the election, Barak Obama has been the subject of much scrutiny for various reasons. Think what you will about Barak Obama, but he has raised passions from just about every ideological and political corner. And his approval/disapprov al ratings appear to reflect those passions. Barak Obama's highest approval rating, 76, appears to have been from February 7 - 8, 2009, as indicated by CNN. At about the same time, January 21 - 24, 2009, Barak Obama appears to have had his lowest disapproval rating: a 9 by Hotline/FD. The latest “Real Clear Politics Average” for Barak Obama (September 19 - October 3, 2010) is a 45 approval rating and a 49 disapproval rating. So what do make of this information (presuming we actually believe polls are accurate)? That's up to you. But the “Project to Restore America” is taking opportunity during both October and November to present four documentaries about Barak Obama. You're welcome to join us: October 12 -- “The Obama Deception”; October 26 -- “A Question of Eligibility”; November 9 -- “Fall of the Republic”; November 23 -- “'We the People' at the National Press Club” (on their challenge to Obama's Citizenship from December 2008). Feel free to join us for what is sure to be lively discussion and debate. Visit http://ProjectToRe storeAmerica.US for driving directions and more, or simply to watch these videos online. "The ProToReAm Initiative" twice-monthly screenings are free, open to those at least 18-years-of-age and are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at 3052 SE 54th Ave., Owatonna, MN. These and other documentaries may also be viewed online. Visit http://ProjectToRe storeAmerica.US for details.  (Oct 6, 2010 | post #1)

ProToReAm Documentaries for September 2010

It was nine years ago this month that the Twin Towers and "Building 7" of the World Trade Center complex were felled and the Pentagon was damaged during what has come to be known as the "September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks." Much has been written regarding this tragic event, often referred to as "a new Pearl Harbor," a phrase taken verbatim from documentation from The Project for the New American Century. But as much as has been written on this topic, at least as much video material has been produced. This month the Project to Restore America will be presenting only two of the myriad of documentaries available: 9/11: In Plane Site on September 14 & Case 9/11 Unsolved on September 28. We do this to honor those who were murdered, their family and friends who remain, and the many others whose tireless efforts to bring the truth to light are not forgotten. May those who had a role in this tragic event be found, convicted and punished in a manner consistent with the crime. (Aug 31, 2010 | post #1)

ProToReAm Documentaries for Tuesday, May 11 & May 25, 2010

The focus in May 2010 is: Immigration, both legal and illegal. On May 11 we'll be watching the video "Line in the Sand." This documentary covers the illegal entry of individuals across the United States border with Mexico at Arizona. You may be surprised by the environmental impact alone that occurs as a result of some illegal entry. We think you'll learn some things and, as a result, look at "illegal immigration" in a whole new light. On May 25 we'll continue our look at Immigration with two documentaries: "Immigration is a Time Bomb" and "South Africa: The New Apartheid." Both of these documentaries originate and look at immigration, both legal and illegal, in other countries. We'll see that other countries have their own concerns about immigration as well as what steps they've taken to address the problem. Note that all three of these documentaries may be watched at our website. Visit ProjectToRestoreAm erica.US and then go to our "Schdeule " page (http://projecttor estoreamerica.us/S chedule.html) to view these and other documentaries. Please be aware that our new schedule has been implemented: the 2nd and 4th Tuesday's of the month, still at "The Roost," just southeast of Owatonna.
