US increases international airport security, targeting el...

This technique was used in Germany in the late '80's. New technology rendered it obsolete. Glad to see the TSA has caught up with 30 year old practices.  (Jul 7, 2014 | post #1)

American Airlines' Asian Adventure Starts Now

How about a hub in San Jose CA. It's been almost 2 decades since they tried it last. They have added and removed eats in coach twice since then  (Jun 9, 2014 | post #2)

Universities rethink fight songs to ban lyrics

I agree.. All rally songs should be the same ..... Rah Rah Go Team. That's it.... I thing that would be a universally non offensive inspiring "fight song" We need to eliminate that term too... Time we change school colors too. Red is far too aggressive of a color... Black is depressing.... Seriously. When will this SH!+ end. Wake up Sheeple  (May 7, 2014 | post #1)

Southwest won't expand fleet through 2015 to reach profit...

They were the original discount carrier... They will never therefore be considered legacy. They just recently got transcon ability with the 737-800. Flights to Mexico and the Caribbean thanks to Air Tran technically make them an international carrier. Leaving your continent for reasons other than heavy maintenance may help. Interesting how the perennially profitable carrier now has issues since leaving it's business model. I predicted years ago taking on "legacy" carriers head to head would lead to big boy problems. People laughed at me and told me I was an idiot.... I will accept apologies any time.  (Apr 17, 2014 | post #2)

They suck eggs, but they're so cheap I have no choice but to fly with them.... Come on sheeple... Get on real airlines and just let this POS die  (Apr 15, 2014 | post #1)

American Airlines, JetBlue Ending Agreement

It's nice AA is finally letting B6 go off and be it's own airline.... I know for a fact AA gave jetBlue 2 SAN-JFK and a SAN- BOS route....I know because it resulted in layoffs for AA SAN, They did have a codeshare in place to protect the passengers. I'm sure there were many other routes.. Now that the competition is big enough to live on it's own and AA is under new management they can finally move on.  (Mar 10, 2014 | post #1)

Southwest Airlines had worst on-time rate in December

You had to leave secondary airports. Welcome to LGA, etc. You had to grow into a big boy. I warned that big boy problems would follow. Now you need to learn the tricks the legacy carriers use to be on time..  (Feb 12, 2014 | post #1)

Have you seen how fast a SW pilot taxies now.... Not sure they can shorten the time unless they put the throttles over the gate  (Feb 7, 2014 | post #1)

American cutting flights from NY, DC after merger

Yes, that is common business sense. The merger isn't the cause of the dropped routes. The dropped routes allowed the merger. For the airline to purchase those slots not to use them for the best possible load factor and profit margin would be stupid. Then may not do it to compete with AA, but with a still dominant presence in DCA it's safe to say the new airline will overlap one of the many routes AA will still have there.  (Jan 17, 2014 | post #3)

American cutting flights from NY, DC after merger

Because the DOJ said they had to.... The merger isn't the cause  (Jan 16, 2014 | post #1)

Missed the airport by 6 miles. There is no reason for that. Does someone need a nav system upgrade for their airline?  (Jan 12, 2014 | post #1)

Flight from Florida diverted, passengers aren't told

When will people learn to stop flying Allegiant? You got exactly the service level you paid for. May I suggest a real carrier next time.  (Jan 11, 2014 | post #1)

Delta to install new seats, bins on 225 planes

If you are going to squeeze in more people you need to have more overhead space That only makes sense. You are stupid to do it any other ay/  (Jan 8, 2014 | post #1)
