Pity LW1 didn't have Caller ID on her phone when her mother called during dinner to curse her out. Had it been me, I would have seen her number and let the call go to Voice Mail. I would have continued to enjoy Father's Day with my father & husband and I would have waited until the next day to check the messages on Voice Mail. Her mother sounds alot like my mom, who died earlier this year and made certain that I was left nothing in her will. But, I expected that as she has always shown that she didn't care for me. I've had friends that told me they noticed back when we were children they asked their own parents why my mother hated me. (Saturday | post #5)

Actually, it seems to depend on if the McDonalds is a corporate store or a franchise. Now the Starbucks "partners " as you refer to them will be collecting UI benefits for the next 26 weeks because their stores are being closed. It's so sad when a young person dies. What is even sadder is that he chose to ignore the warning signs. I hope the family doesn't get some shyster lawyer to convince them to sue the City of Long Beach over this. BTW, my name may be Pompano Beach Gail, but I lived in Long Beach back in the '70's.
