Is the Right Losing the Wall Street Debate?

But the question fits. Sargent would prefer that "confusion not be sowed," that "lines not be blurred." What does that imply other than the charge that it's the Republicans and Wall Street that are the true allies, not Democrats and Wall Street. A nice clean distinction, no lines blurred. But in fact like you say, it's both parties. "WS would prefer to give to the GOP, they only give to the Dems when they know they are the inevitable winners." What does this matter from the standpoint of the public? The fact is there's collusion between Wall Street and the major parties, to the benefit of both. Surely WS would probably prefer to give to neither party and just pocket the money. But what WS prefers deep down inside is irrelevant.  (Feb 27, 2012 | post #8)
