The Christian Atheist debate

The Russian thing is just getting started I thought? Ahh but he knows more than anybody about everything, he'll be fine.  (Sunday May 28 | post #138565)

The Christian Atheist debate

Speaking of servers breaking down, I'm having an old familiar problem accessing this site all of a sudden. Coincidences abound. Crazy fargin world. I can agree with what you wrote and it's interestingly plausible that one gets busted and the rest lay low to avoid association. Maybe it is just coincidence or maybe with a touch of 'whatever authorities were involved' finally acting on it because certain liberal "guardians " had been replaced?  (Sunday May 28 | post #138563)

Is Time An Illusion?

Hey, I see you're on here at the same time. I'm gonna go try playing some guitar for the first time this week. Fingers are doing well after typing all this so maybe I'll get a decent one in there. The last couple times I played I literally did nothing but play that same darn progression over and over and over, and just couldn't get it all right at the same time to make it flow, but couldn't get there. It's like my sole mission now. Weird but it would be a whole new world for me and I need a peek.  (May 11, 2017 | post #14768)

And, I meant it in a constructive way that we don't get to pick out our siblings. I didn't mean like, "oh God, you mean I have to get stuck with *these* people"? I don't have to stay. I want to stay because I can speak my mind here. So far anyway. The censorship of so many 'critically valuable posts' from this thread's 'shinningelectr0n' is a travesty. Critically valuable because we've succeeded in creating something special, we created the art of philosophy on this channel and whoever deleted those posts is waging a war on philosophy. Everyone needs their own personal philosophy in order to think for themselves, which is kinda important, so that they don't blindly accept the first or most tasteful opinion, which leads to mass hypnotism, which leads to . . who knows what. I think it would be great to look back at how we progressed through the years. Have any of you saved any threads in their entirety? I always thought it would be a good thing to do in retirement to read entire threads as a book. Matter fact we should make a book out of the threads we've been on.  (May 11, 2017 | post #14767)

I forgot the smiley face on last post; this would be a bad time to have you guys guessing, I mean since I don't ever get this involved in politics. Vet, seriously don't want you to think I meant that in any condescending way. In the past it might have been 'one in a thousand' posts (that I would post about something political) but now it's like 'one in a hundred posts', and now it happens to be every other post. Still, when ya average it out over time. . . . . . But even so, I wonder why it is that the atmosphere is so much more political now? Or is it only because I am paying more attention to the 'political atmosphere' lately? But even if so, why would I be compelled to pay more attention? Boredom? Why would I be bored if I had something of concern to worry about? 'Things that do not require concern' usually correlates to 'something benign'. Ok, so, I'm not sure what I'm saying any more so I'll quit yammering. I just know I had to say it. Let's say God told me to do so, even though I know I can't be confident of that in any literal way. What can I say, God told me to do it. Would you if God told you to do it? Now that last part you can feel free to take sarcastically. :) :) :) There's three to make up for missing one :) Dang, who else can I yammer on to about my thoughts? That's why I love you guys. I mean it. We're a family for God's sakes, we don't get to pick our brothers and sisters. Sleep good you all. I have to disappear again and get something accomplished.  (May 11, 2017 | post #14765)

Ok, maybe it's a good thing you didn't address my first response to this post but at least admit one thing. I mean you totally skipped over Bush as you said that Bill created it and then it was picked up by Obama and Hillary. At least admit that Bush was the first to use Al Qaeda as a scapegoat. That can't be too much to ask. Could it?  (May 11, 2017 | post #14764)

Btw nano, you're a little more mysterious than Vet, since I can't be as sure how serious your tone was that last post.  (May 2, 2017 | post #14653)

Forgot to mention the vibration was sometimes fading in and out even when the speed was maintained at one speed (above 55). 'Not suspecting' the toe-in alignment had me really scratching my head. I'll be checking that setting more often. I don't suppose camber could also cause vibration? My trailer has an axle that is pre-bent to counter the load and that makes the camber outside of what would be a normal spec.  (May 2, 2017 | post #14652)

I'm so embarrassed, . . . . (I should allow you guys to guess as to how I was planning on finishing that sentence) . . . but I'll tell you . . . my truck has been acquiring an uncomfortable vibration at around 55 mph which, then, doesn't necessarily get worse with speed, but fades in and out as the speed increases. . . . . and it's been going on for quite some time now. Of course I never tested it past 70, I bet it starts 'vibrating it's britches off' exponentially until. . . well I don't wanna find out. It doesn't really have britches but I should however paint some britches on her, and that's a paintjob I would love to see on a car/truck. The vibration problem is mysterious . . . because while the alignment is the first thing you think of, I thought an alignment problem would get worse with speed/rpm, and it looks like that's not the case with toe-in alignment settings. It's mysterious only because I never thought it could be the toe-in alignment, since that's the easiest thing for me to keep tabs on . . . a little harder than checking the oil but no big deal. . . too bad it was also the thing I don't check often enough. Man was it bad. It was way in. Spec says the 'total toe' is 1/16 - 3/16". Mine was way out, well over a quarter inch. As it wears, the toe-in gets worse on my model because the attachment points are rear of the spindle. Every other outer tread-pad is stressed out and raised on the leading edge now, but maybe they'll even out again now that it's aligned again.  (May 2, 2017 | post #14651)

Wait a minute now, this existence thing is an infinite party, not sure I would wanna get trapped in one feeling for eternity. I'm with ya, I want this to be a good time, why else would we come out of our way to come here? But we've been here for ten years, sometimes I just need to share ideas or simply just cry on your shoulder. I'm actually trying not to see government in terms of 'sides', crazy is crazy. I'm not taking any big stance between parties. I haven't mentioned anything to do with it in quite a few pages, just that I was so negatively affected by some of his interviews that I couldn't keep it down. Ok, I'll try harder to zip it but it's kinda on "him". I'll try not to watch tv. Ok, back to the philosophical part of the party. . . . . . . . . If, upon death, we were to have to choose a moment, from the memory of your current life, an instant of time that you would be required to 'exist in' for the next hundred years. . . . . or until you are sucked into another mortal womb. . . . whichever comes first (because of course, after 100 years an 'automatic sucking' takes place whether you like it or not) Would it be. . . A) the instant of time just *before* your best orgasm, symbolic of the collective universe's singular beginning. (I mean people always talk about *after* the Big Bang. The moment just *before* may be as good) B) the moment when you learned how to ride a bike for the first time? C) *a* moment within one of the best rides of your life (any kind of "ride", not just a bicycle) C) First time you kissed a lover? D) The time/s you did some other more advanced things, with or without lovers, and regarding or 'not regarding' sex. E) Put 'em all in a hat and draw I didn't quite know where I was going when I started this post, but, for what it's worth, I couldn't 'not post' it.  (May 2, 2017 | post #14650)

Permission is not required anymore. All you have to worry about is not going far enough that the military will not obey your orders anymore. Of course that point was never reached with Hitler, and I hope Trump doesn't get too crazy and see how far he can push things. He's obviously not mentally stable; he already is planning on running again in 2020. Unless he becomes human in the next few years then a re-election would only mean we have completely lost our function of democracy. Every time I see him in an interview he still talks complete BS like he always did, blatant lies. As long as they are little lies he may get by. Still, a mentally disturbing reality. Sorry, I got off track. I stopped paying much attention to politics but then I accidentally saw an interview with him and it just made my brain cramp up.  (May 2, 2017 | post #14645)

I just started trying to sprout my wormwood. I'm doing it in soil in cups. Anyone know if it's better to sandwich it between a wet napkin until it sprouts? I sprouted a certain type of plant like that once before, you know the kind I'm talking about :)  (May 2, 2017 | post #14644)

I'm taking this whole week off because of the arthritis flare up. Of course, it's probably the borax making it worse before it gets better like it did last time. I gotta stick with the borax, it's my only natural hope. Btw, I learned of another natural cure. Lemon Balm, otherwise known as "Melissa ", will get rid of shingles in days not weeks like the next best thing which happens to be a prescription drug. One fresh leaf three times per day for a few days or until remission occurs. This comes from a person I know that had shingles and knew about the natural remedy. The dried plant will not help, which means you have to have some of your own growing or know someone that does.  (May 2, 2017 | post #14643)

Wow, 120 acres is like paradise. Talk about being able to dial in the amount of seclusion. It's one thing to send a branch down a zip line but I've never done it myself. I've done alot of crazy things but not that. Sounds cool. I used to do it once in awhile but don't remember the last time I set up a zipline now that I am better at getting farther out on branches. I let my pond wild so you wouldn't want to even dip your toes in it let alone zip your whole self into it, but that really sounds like fun if you have a clean pond.  (May 2, 2017 | post #14640)
