Dolphins GM Mueller stays if Parcells has some patience

He is infatuated with speed and Western schools.... So he's sitting within a thousand mile radius of every high school/college football program in florida (which happens to be a goldmine) and he's infatuated with western schools, he's gone, parcells will get him to fire off dead weight, and then fire him himself. do it bill, i'll be your puppet gm if you want.  (Dec 28, 2007 | post #79)

8 players working for next deals

yeah nelson isn't worth that, devin harris is great and he's barely worth that. the contract players that we're going to look to keep around this time next year will be ariza, arroyo, dooling, and then nelson, i can see all three of those players doing great under stan van ron jeremy.  (Oct 4, 2007 | post #2)

Van Gundy out to end turnovers

i'd start dooling personally, i think dooling was starting for van gundy in miami. btw i'm so happy that a guy like garrity can ride the bench, he's a weak 6'9 center, because he is slow like one, and really doesn't hit his outside shots anymore. makes me think that i have a chance to play PF at 5'8. as the GM of that team i should be scratching my head, wondering how i can work the numbers to get rid of garrity and put someone there who tries a lot harder. even if it involves some kid who played for some community college somewhere, this is america, the there are plenty of 5th round draft picks in the nfl making a name for themselves. otis is ok with me so far, but the more i think about it the more i don't like ex ball players getting handed important front office jobs. that's great they they were great players, but an office job is something entirely different, give me a guy who has his mba in business, i don't care if he's 5'7 and balding with no basketball skill, that guy would figure some things out, what do people like otis do on a day to day basis? does anyone follow the magic front office around? or any sports teams front office for that matter? sometimes i wish someone would buy over the magic and the dolphins, and just throw the entire front office out on their heads, every one of them. i'd hire a bunch of kids out of college, any college in florida, we're all obsessed with sports as it is, at least they'd give me a 9 to 5. what's the use of the players running sprints in practice when their business leaders are rolling around in their ultra expensive cars and appointing their family and friends to important positions? first sign of the end of the world as we know it. lol ok well maybe it isn't that serious. i'm just waiting on an email at work and thought i'd go on a tirade....probably didn't spell that correctly.  (Oct 2, 2007 | post #2)

Suit Filed Over Immigration Arrests -- Courant.com

i applied from my country and got through after 13 years, that's a long time to be sitting on your hands. here's an article: http://www.nytimes .com/2007/09/26/ny region/26riverside .html?em&ex=11 91038400&en=ee 968bbab1a96345 &ei=5087http:/ /www.nytimes.com/2 007/09/26/nyregion /26riverside.html? em&ex=11910384 00&en=ee968bba b1a96345&ei=50 87 and another: http://www.msnbc.m sn.com/id/20920369 /site/newsweek/ might be interesting to know what life would be like if no one is around to mow your lawns, well not me i do accounting lol. the other one shows that the aliens probably know more american history than what's being taught in class.  (Sep 27, 2007 | post #18)

Venues imperiled by twin threats

very true, i feel sorry for everyone in here that thinks getting these venues won't help them in the long run. and rosen, our own personal mr burns, doesn't care if we live or die, as long as we set up alot of pretty things around his hotel, i bet if this arena and other venues were going next to his hotels he'd be all about it, no wonder angry teens shoot up high schools, turn to drugs and alcohol, and refuse to grow up. who wants to live in a world where a guy like that is correct about anything? rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and people like rosen are making sure that line gets bigger every minute. so we'll repaint every school with some shiny new paint, that still won't help most of these kids from being stupid, i went through the same school system, i'm an accountant, my buddy went through the same school system, he's doing great at med school in new york, if your kid can't concertrate, and does not want to learn, it's hardly the age of the textbook that's at fault. because both of us grew up in shoddy neighborhoods, with so/so schools, and we survived, suck it up morons, build something that will slowly increase the rate of white collar workers that enter the city instead of the norm for the past decade.  (Sep 17, 2007 | post #109)

Magic's Redick has broken hand, not expected to miss trai...

i still don't think nelson will start, and it's a far stretch for jj to start at sg, and 6'5? that's generous, bell was just released from the bucks, there is a taller pg we should go after, and as for who's starting, it will probably be more like dooling and ariza, and hedo off the bench, he's more comfortable with it. i think dooling was the starting pg under van gundy when he was in miami right? so far van gundy said that lewis and howard are starters for sure, i can definately see him switch things around from the way b. hill did it.  (Sep 17, 2007 | post #2)

Howard's best days to come -- OrlandoSentinel.com

In the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, Charles F. Gardner writes “Charlie Bell still has hopes of playing in the NBA this season but he no longer wants to play for the Milwaukee Bucks. The 6-foot-3 Bell and the Bucks have reached an impasse on negotiations for a multiyear contract, and with the start of training camp approaching in less than three weeks, the restricted free agent is ready to move on to a European club or another NBA team.” hint magic, solve some pg issues.  (Sep 14, 2007 | post #4)

UCF student killed by passing cars -- OrlandoSentinel.com

looks like we're getting beaten in the back of the head with the "who's to blame" news these days, the poor guy fell in traffic and was hit by a car, the speed limit is around 50mph around there, my friend died almost the same way near the 436 and howell branch intersection about a decade ago when we were in high school. we're not going to lower the speed limit, and people aren't going to stop crossing streets, it's like lightening striking somone dead on ucf's campus and then we sue the school for not taking evasive measures. and like the other guy, i'm waiting to see how the venues are going to be blamed for this one. come on heartless rosen, are you going to cry over the kid's corpse in the middle of traffic?... or did the kid not die close enough to your hotels for you to care?  (Sep 5, 2007 | post #35)
