I agree we should have control of our borders first and foremost. I would suggest a couple of things about assimliation--firs t of all, it needs to happen. English is the language of this country, and the liberals need to get off their high-horse about ethnic sensitivy. The unwritten rule is that you OBEY and RESPECT the LAWS of the country you are in, or they send you home. Simple as that, and it goes for Americans abroad too. Now, on the right, they are going to have to, for once, live up to their "compassionat e" conservative nature, get off the back of the Catholic Church, and not be frightened that spending MONEY to help Hispanics learn English will cause socialism. flame war? on here? Sir, you are surrounded by some of the most kind and intellectual people on here on this forum and all of them think before they type. I can see the Church allowing married priests again, but female priests, probably not. That is why we have nuns :) It probably isn't going to happen soon, though. The more conservative chruch dioceses seem to produce more priests and religious ones, so there's that's a reason not to change it. But, the Chruch has swelled in growth over the 40 years, and its hard for some places to get a priest. I know that we are the only Abrahmic faith with this problem in terms of numbers, but if you look at the Protestants, well, they allowed married clergy, but rural areas have a tough time getting pastors because of family commitments---ie, they want good schools and what not for their kids. Historically, global warming is always followed by global cooling. That's what we've discerned historically. The climate of the earth is more fragile than you realize, and I would start taking in an interest because the growing season we have here depends on it. That's the pattern in the West: With the exception of the Catholic Church, mainstream media enemy #1, the reports of Muslim males raping native Euro teens and of apostate Islamic immigrants are buried, not to mention the fact they often get PROBATION. The same is true with all the teacher sex scandals in America---the blonde, young females get PROBATION. that's "restorative " justice, because, you see, their low salaries/poverty "make" them do these terrible things, so we MUST raise taxes across the West and give out more welfare and higher pay for educators who work, oh 8 months out of the year. Christians on an "evangelical " mission? They aren't trying to enforce state religion in Europe.... In any case, many Christians are pacificsts. This story is probably blown out of proportion.
