Ramos asked to divulge abuses by other Perth Amboy employees

Let's take this a step further and say, that this meeting should be in open forum form, where we the people of the city may sit in, and discuss what Ramos divulges, how it effects the over 50000 that live in Perth Amboy, and what steps we will pave to ensure that this situation is rectified indefinitely. I'd also like to say that my campaign to become mayor of Perth Amboy in November 2012, will outline complete open door, open forum and complete transparency, all concepts that are unprecedented locally or nationally. Vas was corrupt, Diaz surrounds herself with the corrupt, and I see know place in Perth Amboy politics for the corrupt. If we are to lead the people effectively we need to do so by example, and if voted into office in November 2012 I will do just that. I am the necessary change that's pertinent to Perth Amboy, consistently "Putting the People of Perth Amboy Ahead of the Politics" - Nicholas J. Pirro, pirro4mayor2012  (Apr 29, 2011 | post #1)

Ramos Rocks Roman

I will be that 1 person that leads Perth Amboy and progresses justice, truth and complete transparency, if elected in 2012, and will need the support of everyone to make that happen. I don't have political ties that bind or incriminate. I'm an advocate and volunteer for the city that believes there have been wrongs committed, and that those wrongs need correction immediately. My campaign will promote complete transparency and open door policies that are unprecedented. Vas was corrupt, Wilda surrounds herself by the corrupt, I am the alternative, putting the people of Perth Amboy ahead of the politics. Vote Pirro for mayor in 2012!  (Apr 29, 2011 | post #7)

Ramos Rocks Roman

The redistricting battle is at its end, and the budgets been passed. The dust of do’s has settled. Systematic probing has exposed bigger problems in Perth Amboy, with HIV’s steady uprising, drugs escalating ever more rapidly, unemployment not seeing the results one would expect and housing market relatively stagnant, we absolutely face issues that are not well to do, or fixed with snapped fingers. We are no longer pointing fingers in to the past shamefully, we are looking at what we have endured currently, and searching for the betterments we were promised indefinitely. Where are those budget appeasements, and the job creating projects that would benefit a great many of people? What is on the agenda for our schools, with the cuts of Christie brutalizing an already beaten system. Government jobs allowing a “double dip scenario” , making it okay to collect pensions from the city but continually work for said government. The withdrawal of the UEZ and all the good it was intended to do for us and began to for a short while. How is it that despite the many contracts being brought to the proverbial table Delaney is still an abandoned eye sore and the movie theatre has yet to see any revenue generation. Is this what revitalization is, or is this a mockery of the word, a mockery of the people and a mockery of the city we all love? This is by no means progression, nor is it the future we were duped into believing was inevitable. Now though we have a decision. A decision to do what is truly correct and wholesome, to regain our voices as a community, as a city, and as a people. We, the culturally dynamic individuals that make up an amazingly beautiful populous of a city that has too long been corrupted and over shadowed, will with my leadership, finally be heard. It is with us in mind that I run for Mayor, it is with us in mind that I ask for your mandate and vote when our decision is to be made. In a time when change is far past needed, and way too long overdue. I will put the people of perth amboy ahead of the politics, as I have and will continually, fight for the best interests of you… of us. I am your neighbor, advocate, friend and candidate mayor of our Perth Amboy City!  (Apr 8, 2011 | post #4)

Another corrupt pol taints state

Corruption and accountability. Are both New Jerseys' downfall. While we are being bold face lied to and stolen from, no person will hold the corrupter liable. Spicuzzo, Vas, the list is incredibly long. Our leaders refuse to speak out in the "peoples " defense... The guilty won't incriminate the guilty! Nicholas J. Pirro will blow the whistles, demand accountability and hold the criminals liable- Pirro4Mayor2012, Perth Amboy will lead the state to transparency and accountability!  (Apr 3, 2011 | post #1)

Introducing Nicholas J. Pirro for Perth Amboy, NJ Mayor ...

Nicholas J.Pirro is indeed the change our city desperately needs. By creating: -Outreach programs that focus on AIDS and STD education -Destroying the abandoned Delaney Project and building a drug/alcohol rehabilitation center - Creating a working relationship with groups like JOB CORP -Turning the old Municipal building into a Historical Museum of our city -Inviting larger companies to inhabit the old Movie Theatre abandonment We can effectively begin to change how we conduct ourselves as a unified city. Creating jobs, Highlighting the peoples health and hindering rising property taxes would collectively be helping our city prosper and engage each other and surrounding municipalities effectively. This is the beginning of what Nicholas J. Pirro is campaigning for, on behalf of The People Of Perth Amboy  (Mar 25, 2011 | post #5)

Introducing Nicholas J. Pirro for Perth Amboy, NJ Mayor ...

''Strong leadership takes hard work, a commitment to the right priorities, and the ability to put problem solving ahead of politics. That's exactly the kind of leadership we need in Perth Amboy's next mayor.'' For too long the current administration has fumbled and failed to yield the results "we the people" initially voted them into office to provide. With fingers crossed and a promise of those results fallen at our feet, change is necessary in our advancement as a city. We have become a city of self doubt, limited by our governments stagnating ways of operating. **A short list of concerns our current policy makers have neglected -Unemployment - AIDS and numerous other STD's -Drugs and crime -The lack of oppertunities to be productive and prosperous -Having one of the highest property tax rates in New Jersey affects the people These issues have yet to be addressed by our current administration, be it in short term or long term definition.  (Mar 25, 2011 | post #4)

Introducing Nicholas J. Pirro for Perth Amboy, NJ Mayor ...

ABOUT *Democratic Mayoral Candidate Nicholas J. Pirro I was born and raised in NJ, and spent the latter part of 5 years living in Perth Amboy. I raise my children here, shop downtown, bank on State Street and self reflect at the Water Front. I am a candidate of the people, I interact regularly with our small business owners and volunteer my time locally. I'm a motivated and resourceful candidate that believes there is more to our city , our people and our culture, too much so, to constantly be overlooked by our governing body. I watched (Vas) corrupt us, and witnessed (Diaz) shameless self elevation over shadow what makes us truely great. I have the leadership skill set necessary to bring Perth Amboy into the future , and as Mayor look forward to the peoples input, which will help shape my administration. I have a comprehensive strategy that with your votes and ideas backing me, will carry us passed the turmoils of corruption, and over the humps of selfishness. Together as a city we are a team, and where administrations of old have failed us and left us wondering "What now?" I say to you with the utmost of confidence... "Us Now." Let our time be now, Let Perth Amboy prosper and its people be pleased by govermental decisions and actions, lets make decisions together, for the better of our city, Perth Amboy!  (Mar 25, 2011 | post #3)

Introducing Nicholas J. Pirro for Perth Amboy, NJ Mayor ...

The mudslinging politics full of corruption and barren promises should never again capture our attention. Vas and his constituents have no room in the current dispensation because the high unemployment rates, escalating STD and HIV and AIDS rates, and drug abuse speak against them. When we learn from our mistakes, we become wiser and hardly repeat the same mistakes again. The people of Perth Amboy demand a leadership that is free from self-corrupting conceit and deception. We have seen the same trend again and again in the leadership of Diaz. The role models to steer the revival of hope in our administration begins now, in Nicholas J. Pirro. The time of laying facts on the table about how resources are used is now. The scourge of AIDS and STDs need immediate redress through public education and setting up of rehabilitation centers to help drug abusers cope and lead normal productive lives. A creative and innovative leader will oversee the transformation process of our society to reduce high unemployment rates, a possibility Pirro hopes to make happen with the help of more volunteer and outreach programs, given your mandate. Nicholas J. Pirro is your next door neighbor, warm-hearted, and a regular in downtown business circles be it the mall or bank along State Street or even whiling at the Water Front. In tendering my candidature to be your next mayor, the very opportunities in us the people, our culture, and local business stand a fair chance to prosper once again. Empowerment of the people is a matter of urgency because the contributions of everyone count in creating ample atmosphere for businesses, service delivery, employment, and education. The elimination of redundant projects like Delaney and Movie Theatre and conversion of old Municipal building into a Historical Museum would not only save taxpayers money but also aid in income generation and creation of employment. Hence, there remains an opportunity to mend the waywardness of our leaders and endorse policy changes to help heal the rot in this city. In this, the duty and responsibility solely rests on each one of us in choosing to vote out bad leadership and electing accountability, progress, and transparency in governance. In closing remarks, Nicholas J. Pirro is the true leader Perth Amboy has been yearning for. I salute your determination to close the doors of the past and open wide those of hope and prosperity, and the unity of purpose to turn around the fortunes long run down and neglected. Vote wisely. Vote Change. Vote Nicholas J. Pirro.  (Mar 25, 2011 | post #2)

Introducing Nicholas J. Pirro for Perth Amboy, NJ Mayor ...

The overzealous hands of the past leadership have undone the benevolent will of the people and the stench of their incessant corruption has boiled over to the precipice of change. The mayoral seat has again and again presided over failed promises of the change the residents of Perth Amboy have yearned for a long time. The gnawing desire to inject a fresh face of hope and certainty about the destiny of this great city through hands trained on success and delivery has finally beckoned. In Nicholas J. Pirro, fellow residents, there never was an opportunity to get it so right, and never were the residents of Perth Amboy so poised to making a defining decision informed by the belief in sound leadership benchmarked on prosperity. And now ladies and gentlemen, I rise to the gracious challenge of embodying these dreams and aspirations of what should be and represent fully the city we want. Nicholas J. Pirro believes in the people of Perth Amboy as much as they believe in honesty and truth. Born some 31 years ago in New Jersey, I have achieved what many of my peers in this race regard only as exceptional. My five year stay in Perth Amboy has borne fruitful endeavors towards the advancement of this city. The humility and belief in the possibilities in this city continue to inform my motivation to seek opportunities in various areas that are key in service delivery. As an applicant for both the Urban Enterprise Zone and the Business Improvement District Advisory Boards, I aspire to better the well being of this city and cater for the immediate concerns in rising property taxes and improvement of health in public health institutions. The perennial problems suffered in the hands of the present administration which has toyed with grave issues like unemployment, terminal HIV/AIDS and other venereal diseases must be stemmed right from the bud. Every hard working person knows that it takes sheer effort to rise above partisan interests and stand tall in the wake of seemingly insurmountable odds. A man of the people is not one because he proclaims so but one easily displayed by the things he does and aspires to do for the people and with the people. My efforts lie with the people joining the Platelets for Perth Amboy blood Drive at our Raritan Bay Area YMCA. The relentless zeal to serve the great people of Perth Amboy will yield in efforts to join the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 43 as well as work together in support of the Hands to Japan and Pacific Lands Relief Efforts Fund. In this, the receptive mark of this society will go down in history in making good the plight of neighbors in distress as an embodiment of this society. The mudslinging politics full of corruption and barren promises should never again capture our attention. Nicholas J.
