Being gay is not a choice. What if it were?

Choice or not. I think with all the debat about it one could only come up with one conclusion. It's a little bit of both. I've known plenty of people who've delved on the othe side of the fence for one reason or another. Who hasn't seen a couple of gals in a bar in college sucking face for the crowd? I mean, are all these chicks that do this on spring break going to hell? Bottom line: people bang who they wanna bang. There's really no way to explain it.  (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #628)

Adult VideoStore on Lovell Road is Shameful

Different strokes indeed... Some with the left, some with the right. Some go with the double-fists. Some go medium, some go slow, some just pound away in an attempt to turn Japenese. As for the store, apparently there must of been some market research into this business venture to warrant the size & inventory of this place. Basically, it's capitalism at it's best. See a market opportunity & go for it.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #184)

Slaying Trial reveals drug use

Perhaps the writer is bi-racial. Maybe something like Tiger Woods. You are correct about many posters lack of concern for correct grammer or spelling. But hey, it's the internet and anonymous so nobody cares if you write like a 6th grader.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #86)

Slaying Trial reveals drug use

I've always been puzzled that some folks still hold to a monolithic veiw of certain minority groups.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #85)

Rivals attack Haslam's stance on guns in parks

Good points made in many of the posts above. Everyone has their political leanings and that's bound to effect how we view things. However, the reality of most situations in the politcal arena are that both sides are doing whatever they can in order to be on top. Many of these efforts are far from ethical. Americans seem willing to except this as long as the resulting power-grab between the two major sides gives us something in the middle that we can all live with. Haslem, as best as I can tell, is somewhat moderate. He'll probably have to say some stuff that he doesn't really mean in the primaries in order to survive. However, if he's able to get to a general election; his being moderate will help him in going to Nashville to be our next Governor.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #24)

Review: Jimmy's Southern Pub LLC

I've been to both establishments and I have to say I give the edge to Smokey's. Neither would be my ideal place to meet a gal, based on the quality of them that I've seen, but a nice dive to have a brew, listen to some tunes, eat some greasy food, and watch TV.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #2)

Gay Man Assaulted in Tulsa

Good point. But wouldn't that just break your mama's heart. And what about the people at Church?  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #197)

Gay Man Assaulted in Tulsa

Kathy, I would imagine that any sort of hate-crime legistlation would primarily be the concern of those alledged to have committed crimes against someone based on their sexual orientation, nationality, race, gender, etc. rather than law abiding citizens. Basically if one is not out trying to beat down people they don't like based on the things mentioned above; they don't have to worry about it.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #196)

Gay Man Assaulted in Tulsa

Dude, if you're constantly getting hit on by gay men while you're out on the town with your straight-guy friends in TULSA, OK then you're straight-guy friends are taking you to GAY BARS.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #194)

Dozens of Tickets Issued in Dallas for Not Speaking English

If indeed the citation included the infraction of not being able to comminucate in English, then this Spanish gal could probably rack up some tax-payer dough with an ACLU lawyer by her side. I guess we'll have to wait & see.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #210)

Why is the GOP slighting Hispanics?

I read somewhere that the most popular name for boys born in the state of TX is Juan. Now... I know it's not considered cool to pander to hispanics but it looks like the Republicans are gonna have to figure out a way to do it... without pissing off the racist wing part of the party.  (Sep 27, 2009 | post #7)

Blackwashing, a New Way for Racists to Bash Obama: Colbert

Hmm... never really put much thought into that. A racial crusade. I got one question. Do you think that Jesus had red hair & freckles?  (Sep 27, 2009 | post #298)

The Left Is Becoming Deranged

These kinds of accusations get lobbed toward each side more than 100 times a year. The RNC & DNC would like to have the opposing party lumped in with freaks & pshyco's that are on the fringes. Though these smears can score short-term political points; they aren't that useful for something logn-term. Basically, nobody is gonna give a chit come Nov. 2010, so no need to blow your wad now. To all the right-winged zealots out there, pinch the head & save it for next year.  (Sep 27, 2009 | post #584)

Blackwashing, a New Way for Racists to Bash Obama: Colbert

Question: If you're gonna run for office, under which party would it be easier to run? Democrat or Republican? Answer: Republican. Basically all you have to do is promise to undo a bunch of stuff if elected. Once you're there, undo it all, and then when the poop hits the fan you can tell everybody it's not the govit's job to fix it. Problem solved.  (Sep 27, 2009 | post #274)

Blackwashing, a New Way for Racists to Bash Obama: Colbert

I really don't understand why republicans get so bent out of shape even if they are accused of racism when it comes to opposing Obama's goals. So? Repubs have been getting that stamp before Obama got sworn in. When you've got people like Lee Atwater & Karl Rove orchestrating election victories it's bound to happen. Republicans should just stay focused on the "Real Amerca".  (Sep 27, 2009 | post #272)
