Why is a "casting agent" using Topix to cast models? It sounds like a scam to me to get models photos, and to get them in a room with you. I would beware of postings like this. Models: Always bring someone with you to "casting calls". http://phillyphoto nerd.com (Oct 28, 2009 | post #2)
Doesn't anyone do any research before they drop $2 - $6k into something? This is what you do if you really want to get your kind into any kind of modeling, and not worry about getting scammed: Find a legitimate agency in your area, check references, BBB, your local newscast website, etc. They will give you contacts for legitimate schools, photographers, and what not. The best place to find out where an agency is looking for talent is by asking them directly - most will be happy to refer you to the proper schools, etc. PPN http://phillyphoto nerd.com (Oct 28, 2009 | post #369)
