Obama: Constitution stained by 'sin of slavery'

Oh come on. You cannot listen to his speech and come to any other conclusion that he loves this country and it is only in this country that he would have a chance. It is a great speech. We have to rise above this stuff. I disagree with a number of his economic positions, but he is an amazing leader.  (Mar 19, 2008 | post #2263)

Not allowing gay marriage violates constitutional rights

The issue is whether denying homosexual's the same right to marry as hetrosexual' violates the equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. By denying gays the right to marry, we are denying them the equal rights with non-gays.  (Feb 23, 2008 | post #2523)

Will Ralph Nader again run for President?

While I respect him, he adds nothing to the campaign. His last two campaigns, particularly the one in 2000, helped elected George Bush. Nothing he has said has added to the debate. Nader can contribute greatly, but not by running for president and tipping a close election to the very people who are so opposite of the principles Nader champions.  (Feb 23, 2008 | post #34)

Improve Robbo Blogger

I suggest that Topix look into improving the roboblogger. One one of the forum's I edit I am the only editor. I is a forum for my home town and the roboblogger often adds stories, which is great. Unfortunately, too many of the stories are off topic. This appears to be because it pulls the name of the town even even it is not the subject of the article. For example, we have a number of firm's and individuals who make press releases on various industries -- its great, but its not local news, but it is what the blogger picks up. I suggest some improvement to make sure that it picks up the name where it is the subject of the article so I don't have to keep killing them as "off topic."  (Feb 20, 2008 | post #1)

Long Island suffers from a bottleneck in that there is no way to drive on or off the Island without passing through the City of New York. Its time that some alternative be found.  (Jan 24, 2008 | post #1)
