Should Backyard Chicken Coops be Allowed in Bolingbrook?

Of course it should be allowed! Does bolingbrook have something against Backyard Chicken Coop Inc.? Just think, more assembly and installation jobs for illegals, more union dues for the CCLUC (Chicken Coop Labors Union of Chicago)! Its a WIN WIN!  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #1)

Christian group suing Plainfield over public meeting room...

Sorry Liberty Counsel, I, as a life long and baptised Christian living in Plainfield, completely disagree with your misguided act to sue. There are plenty of non-government places for you to hold your meetings. There are christian owned businesse in the area who will open their doors for you. My opinion is that all religious groups remain out of government buildings. What do others think about this situation? I'm interested to hear from others.  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #1)

America is all in to gain the love of the illegals ....

The best thing to do is go to Tom Cross website and write that you do not support licenses for illegals. I'll post whether Tom takes the Democratic side on this issue.  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #3)

What's wrong with Tom Cross?

Oh I don't blame Tom Cross for the state of the Illinois GOP... I am simply pointing out that his voting record sided 60% of the time with the Democratic majority and not the GOP platform. And yes,I agree with your keen observation regarding Dan Proft and he bumbling selection of Allan Keyes 10 years ago. WE need to be allowed due process to select our representatives in government. The current GOP leadership (includig Tom Cross) ignored calls at this past summer's convention to change the process. Instead, our GOP leadership assume they know better than the rest of us, and retain the authority to select idiots like Allan Keyes  (Nov 29, 2012 | post #13)

NO! to drivers licenses for Illegal immigrants

Illinois has budget problems up the ying-yang and John Cullerton is pushing for this measure which makes asolutely NO SENSE. My mother immigrated from Europe 50 years ago and went through the process of becoming a naturalized citizen. What should be done is to understand WHY these folks reside here illegally and resolve the root cause... but no, I think that just makes too much sense.  (Nov 29, 2012 | post #2)

What's wrong with Tom Cross?

Leadership bestowed is doomed to failure. People follow because they have faith in the leader based on actions. Face it, the Republican party in Illinois is rudderless. If fellow Republicans voted 60% of the time democratic (see my first post) like Mr. Cross, how does that make the GOP stronger? 20 years in politics...Tom is simply fighting for his political life. I understand that; however, his voting record does not reflect the mindset of the majority of his constituency. This upcoming general session will require Tom to take difficult stances and rally the Illinois GOP as it looks for true pension reform and getting the budget under control by cutting entitlements.  (Nov 28, 2012 | post #8)

NO! to drivers licenses for Illegal immigrants

Gov. Pat Quinn, Senate President John Cullerton and Mayor Rahm Emanuel said today they will push the state legislature to once again try to pass a measure creating a special driver's license for illegal immigrants. Seriously?!?! Do they really think someone who is in our country ILLEGALLY will stroll into the DMV to be photographed and tested? Then that same person will now go get auto insurance?!?!? Why are we even contemplating giving a pass to people who are provided police and fire protection, and access to other public domain, but pay ZERO taxes. Write Representative Tom Cross and tell him this does not have your support. http://www.tomcros s.com/contact/  (Nov 20, 2012 | post #1)

What's wrong with Tom Cross?

Exerpt from a great article... "I honestly don't know what it's going to take. But it's time for Republicans to stop whining about Madigan and do something to clean out the awful officials on our own team. If you're serious about beating the Democrats some day, get serious about making our Illinois Republican Party a vehicle that can compete." http://www.huffing tonpost.com/doug-i bendahl/pat-brady- should-resign_b_20 88999.html  (Nov 10, 2012 | post #4)

What's wrong with Tom Cross?

There's no hiding when you look at Tom's voting record. Tom is simply a career politician. His 'votes' follow the democratic party platform. If he believes in the Democratic party platform, he should switch party affiliation and allow those with true republican beliefs of less government and lower taxes represent the party in the district. Its evident that you are completely ignorant to the party platform regarding abortion, pregnancy and rape. Roe v Wade settled that decades ago. At issue is whether taxpayer money should fund state sponsored abortion. While something is legal, that doesn't necessarily make it right, but that is between the individual and our Maker. I wonder if Tom thinks tax money should fund state sponsored abortion. Illinois funds an abortion if a court orders it. And it doesn't need to be a case of rape or incest. The Republican party in Illinois is simply being 'played' by Mike Madigan and the Democrats. Bill Brady needs to have a long talk with Mr. Cross. Tom are you a GOP leader or Mike Madigan's puppet? We'll see as the pension reform issue comes into focus.  (Nov 10, 2012 | post #3)

What's wrong with Tom Cross?

Why is it that Tom's voting record seems more aligned with the demoratic party the past few years? Because it has! Tom voted for massive gambling expansion with a casino going to Chicago. Tom voted to curtail the Freedom of information Act. Tom voted for the Dream Act...Illinois is the first state to provide a private scholarship fund for children of undocumented parents residing in Illinois on an illegal basis. Once graduating from college, the degree holder can¬ít even legally be hired!!! Tom voted to pass Tax relief for CME Group, and Tax credits for Sears. Oh and after the bill passed, Sears announced the closing 120 stores. CBOE Chairman, the beneficary of $6 million in "tax break" said, he was "embarrased to live in Illinois". He didn't take a side on the Property Tax Freeze, instead, Tom stood on the sidelines and voted PRESENT! As a matter of fact, Tom took democrat positions 60% of the time on key bills. Tom, perhaps you need to re-read the party platform that was developed at the Illinois Convention this summer. Stop being Mike Madigan's puppet. Signed - Your Constituency  (Nov 8, 2012 | post #1)
