Trade puts U.S.-Russian relations at turning point

while russia props up syria it should not be treated ass a trade friendly nation. the choice the world has to make is war or sanctions, and Russia's immoral and cruel support of Assad should not be rewarded even indirectly. they should know there is a price.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #2)

A Turkish War of Religion: Kurdish Activists Sense a Cons...

Turkey's problem is it's futile attempt to regain it's past glory. It cannot be the leader of the midEAst. That is a position contested by Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia. The hasty, ill thought out comments by it's leaders show impulsiveness, power intoxication and lack of awareness. When Turkey acknowledges its massacre of the Armenians, negotiates with the Kurds and Cypriotes, they may begin to be taken seriously. Til then, it's a kind of sit com.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #26)

Israel to decide on university in West Bank settlement, t...

This would be a grave mistake. Entrenching further in the West Bank makes permament Arab hostility more likely. Israel's victory in the Six Day War foolishly led them to annex territory illegally, and the Palestinians will not forget or forgive. Their memory is as long and rooted as the Israelis to the land. Bibi is leading the country into a catastrophe. All settlement expansion should cease permanently and serious negotiations begin. If not now when? bibi is actually likely to percipitate Holocaust II with his threats against Iran.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #1)

Iranian Leader Ahmadinejad Jets Into Zimbabwe Today

old news, but it shows the link between dictatorships. mugabe's days are numbered, and with luck, his successor will move towards democracy, and the country begin to reenter the broader world society. iran too may get worse before it gets better. two sick countries leaning on each other. yuck. i wish history would fast foward like in south africa and we see positive changes.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #2319)

Israel's end is near, Ahmadinejad says

Iran is striving to be the dominant regional player, with it's propping up of Syria, Hizbollah, and Hamas. Their quest for nukes will probably be fulfilled, but Saudia Arabia has promised to get nukes in that event too. We could expect Egypt, Turkey too. The whole region will be more destabilized, and the risk of war would endanger the worlds petroleum supply. Amhanijabad is not going to be around for that long, but he represents the worst in his society, which is horribly repressed. Remember, the protests started first in Iran not Tunisia, and it shows how deep the discontent is with the theocracy and repression. One day, the iranian people will rise up and knock the leadership off their pedestals.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #32060)

Palestinians mull non-member state status at UN

The Palestinians should get Hamas to renounce violence and rocketting, and start to behave like a peaceful state with each other first. As a good will gesture, Hamas should relinquish all it's rockets in exchange for Israel easing the blockade. Going to the UN is just more charade, imitation state hood. What is needed is a new attitude on the ground and for the Palestinians to stop teaching hate in their schools. Israel for it's part should cease all settlement growth, forever and abide by international law.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #1)

Israel asks Arab visitors to open emails to search

I'd rather there be inconvenience in air travel and security procedures and incursions of privacy than that innocents be killed on planes and restuarants by suicide bombers. Terrorists have put explosives inside their body, given explosive packages to innocents, and endless variations in violation of the publics safety. Checking emails is a good quick non damaging way of seeing who has been talking with whom. The electronic trail doesn't lie. I'd rather give up my email address than risk being blown out of the air. The anti semites and rote anti zionists will now pretend to be outraged and blame Israel. they should look to what Syrians are doing to each other: slaughtering innocent children. that's the real crime.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #77)

John McCain says US should be 'ashamed' of inaction over ...

Reality, your misnamed cyber name is grotesque. Syrians are responsible for the slaughter of their own children. Attributing demonic super power to Israel and the US are simply psychotic inventions and evasion of the true reality. Arab culture is profoundly corrupt. Yelling "God is Great" when killing children is a sickening low point of mankind and religion.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #71)

Messianic Jews say they are persecuted in Israel

The question of whether God exists is debatable. The slaughter of children, persecution of minorities, mutual religious intolerance in the name of God in any direction is perverse and misguided and contradictory.. this thread is about messianic jews. they shouldn't be hassled in israel or anywhere, but neither should so called Christians have persecuted jews for centuries forcing conversion among other things. I like talking to true believers voluntarity, but don't want to convert anyone or be converted..  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #36540)

Obama stands idly by while Syria burns

Syrians are killing Syrian children. Asaad is responsible, but has gone so far that he cannot retain the leadership of his country thru murder. The world, with the exception of the Russians and cohorts are making an historic mistake by siding with murder.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #39)

The Iranian invasion of Syria: Assad calls in the reinfor...

Syrian, why all the anal related abuse? Gotta problem? Syrians are killing syrian children and blaming outsiders is escaping the reality of the chaos within the country. There are centuries of sectarian hatred within Islam. Asaad makes it worse. there is nothing more to add, but it should be stopped.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #32)

Messianic Jews say they are persecuted in Israel

God made man, who then made God. All religions are faulty, all conception of God projections of human needs and ego. Pitting one against the other is against true brotherhood, and ends in war. What we see in Syria is religious intolerance and ethnocentrism turning into butchery in the name of God. It can't be right when little children have their throats cut.  (Jun 9, 2012 | post #36537)

John McCain says US should be 'ashamed' of inaction over ...

What we see in Syria is sectarian intolerance and hatred, a long tragic tradition of the Arab culture, all the while proclaiming "God is Great." God may be great but slaughtering innocent children by slitting their throats is an atrocity under true Islam. Blaming israel for Arab internicine warfare is infantile escapoist fantasy. If you need to blame, look to Asaad and his father's precedent.  (Jun 8, 2012 | post #69)

U.N. team in Syria sees massacre site in village

and what will the UN do? the atrocity of Asaad is ongoing, and only removal of him will help the Syrian people. more observeration is not needed, action is. russia is shameful in propping up Asaad. he belongs in the garbage bin of history now.!!.  (Jun 8, 2012 | post #1)

What Are Iranian Special Forces Doing In Syria?
