Newsday no longer linked to Topix?

The new format for Newsday.com totally sucks. It loads extremely slow. There's too much dark blue. Not easy to navigate. They should have left it the way it was.  (Jul 23, 2009 | post #126)

EDITORIAL: Johnson needs to think big for MTA

He won't be around long enough to see anything happen. He should and probably will be voted out at the next election for fleecing the state tax payers the way he and Foley did.  (Jul 22, 2009 | post #11)

LIRR engineer accused of letting passenger drive train

You are an idiot. The Engineer should sue after he's found to have done nothing wrong. How does the passenger know the person driving the train wasn't an engineer.  (Jul 17, 2009 | post #188)

Throgs Neck truck closure causing delays on other bridges

The state needs to explain why businesses in New York state get hit with a payroll tax to support the MTA and it's riders yet the MTA, with 10% of it's unnecessary employees making over 100,000, are exempt from paying this tax.  (Jul 13, 2009 | post #9)

For some Madoff victims, 150-year sentence not enough

Paterson: Albany mess could mean LI property tax boost

This is the blind unambitions way of telling us our taxes are going to be raised yet again and he thinks we'll buy his bull$hlt that it's the senates fault.  (Jun 29, 2009 | post #71)

Subway, bus fare hikes take effect Sunday

"The increases, part of Albany's financial rescue of the MTA...." Stop calling it an Albany bailout or rescue package. Albany is doing nothing nor is it contributing anything. Call it what it is - a tax payer fleecing.  (Jun 28, 2009 | post #4)

Verizon to launch LI TV channel

Do people actually watch News 12? They call it a 24 hour news channel but they play the same hour of news over and all day long. They only do live shows at peak news times like 6AM, 5 or 6 PM and 10PM.  (Jun 20, 2009 | post #46)

Suffolk cops offer course for teen drivers

I agree it's a good opportunity to teach tenns how to drive, I also believe it will give the ones who are going to drive recklessly a false sense of invincibility thinking they can handle any situation.  (Jun 15, 2009 | post #26)

Testimony ends in Nassau DWI assault trial

So it's ok that the cop got smoked by a drunk driver because he's a cop but if it was someone you knew or a family member, it would be an outrage? There's nothing poor about this guy or the cop who killed her passenger. You need help old man.  (Jun 12, 2009 | post #27)

Testimony ends in Nassau DWI assault trial

It was no accident. He knew it was against the law to drive drunk yet he did it anyway. That itself makes him reckless. On top of that, he had no license to begin with. If it was truly an accident, I would agree, don't destroy two lives. But in this case, 7 years is not enough  (Jun 11, 2009 | post #8)
