McCain pick: Alaska governor

Will McCain and Palin look for Senator Stevens endorsement from Alaska. Oops sorry he has trouble with the law right now. Any chance of a photo shoot on the Bridge To Nowhere?  (Aug 29, 2008 | post #35)

Have Democrats Just Been Blown Out of the Water?

As David Lee Roth once said, "It isn't whether you win or lose, but how good you look doing it."  (Aug 29, 2008 | post #24)

McCain pick: Alaska governor

Of course the last two years of running for office has been completely above board, educational, and filled with answers to better our lives. Loosen up and stop being a stick in the mud. Hey she did a swimsuit contest before, so she has EXPERIENCE in it. Joe Biden doesn't. Of course tuning into the debates will be a real ratings buster and interest everyone, especially when teh questions are given in advance.  (Aug 29, 2008 | post #27)

Verizon boosts rural broadband access

We pay the same rates as communities with DSL service so we should get the same services. It is about time verizon followed through.  (Aug 29, 2008 | post #2)

McCain pick: Alaska governor

Instead of a Vice-Presidential Debate a swimsuit contest can be held instead. Sarah can whip out her swimsuit from the pageant days, and Joe can whip out a paid for credit card and buy a Speedo. My money is on Sexy Sarah in this contest. As for a Presidential Debate, perhaps a Bowling match for one evening, 1 on 1 basketball for another, and may-be Charades or the infamous dictionary game Fictionary, for a final evening on fun and entertainment. Who really wants to watch a santatized debate, when we can see Sarah in a swimsuit, and perhaps finish it up with an evening gown.  (Aug 29, 2008 | post #23)

Great Barrington taking aim at ticket scofflaws

Whip out a Denver Boot or two. It will amaze you at how quickly offenders will pay up that way. The embarrassment alone will scare them.  (Aug 28, 2008 | post #5)

Schools weigh digital ban

The sad reality is we are so programmed to believe we need cellphones and other high tech equipment all of the time. We don't, for over 10,000 there weren't cellphones and people not only survived, but became stronger, more independent, and self reliant. Cellphones are abused, the other day at Staples two people were talking to each other on cellphones two aisles away! My ex-girlfriend's daughters called us ten times each while were were away for a weekend. One call involved what to do with the grill that fell over after a storm, another was to find stamps. It is tiring hearing about all of these possible emergencies and needing a phone. We survived for centuries without phones at all and can again. Cellphones are not needed or should be allowed during classes or other times when adults are instructing them. It isn't that hard to figure out why kids aren't learning when this is being debated at all. Have the nuts completely taken over the nuthouse?  (Aug 26, 2008 | post #19)

Schools weigh digital ban

Shouldn't this be a no brainer. School is a place for learning, and both students and teachers should not be on cellphones during class periods. Why is this even being discussed?  (Aug 26, 2008 | post #12)

Number of state workers on the rise despite deficit

Let me get this straight, Massachusetts is losing residents every year, we are about to lose a Congressional District, there are fewer good jobs, and yet there are more state employees. Are these new employees in the moving business? Can't we just subcontrat say Mayflower Movers, or Camel Movers?  (Aug 25, 2008 | post #3)

Obama taps Biden to be running mate

Don't forget Biden gets a lot of campaign money from Credit Card companies. The same companies that are bigger loan sharks than the Mafia ever hoped to be.  (Aug 24, 2008 | post #23)

Obama taps Biden to be running mate

Once in awhile while in Bedford, MA we go out of our way to a farm for homemade ice cream. They make about twenty flavors, that include Rocky Road, Bubblegum, Rum Raison, etc. However after driving thirty minutes out of our way, someone will always choose a Vanilla cone. Years of running for President, hundreds of speeches, logging in hundreds of thousands miles, and Obama goes with Vanilla. A retread in politics, old ideas, old ways, and corrupt ways at that. Shame on Mr. Change....  (Aug 23, 2008 | post #7)

Reputed mob boss wants more exercise

Like the Fat Boss can get in the skinny door. The only thing he is in a rush for is a trip to the Country Buffett, and he will most likely put that place out of business with a fork and knife.  (Aug 21, 2008 | post #10)
