Domestic Violence--When will it stop. What is the governme...

Be a good citizen and encourage those around you not to take abuse whether it be physical, verbal or emotional. If you at anytime witness someone being abused report it to the nearest Police station so that the Police can act on it immediately. DOn't wait till it's too late and wish you did something about it. You can save a life.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #21)

Domestic Violence--When will it stop. What is the governme...

Currently members of the public are being educated via advertisements on how to handle situations involving abuse. These ads gives them courage to approach the Police and report it. I have witnessed this myself. So don't say the Government isn't helping people unless you have full knowledge of the circumstances.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #20)

Domestic Violence--When will it stop. What is the governme...

There are some law abiding citizens that report situations where someone they know are being abused and action is taken however, the victim often drops the charges after the abuser has apologized. In most of these cases it happens again and many times the victim does not live to do anything about it.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #19)

Domestic Violence--When will it stop. What is the governme...

The Government cannot help people who choose not to help themselves. Many persons are being abused but do not report it. The Police cannot act if it is not reported. Those that do report it end up bailing their abuser our of prison.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #18)

Enhancements in the water sector

This money is being wisely spend and is much appreciated by our country. Any form of maintenance or upgrades is not only necessary right now but also timely. The water system must be improved and the changes has thus far affected us positively.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #9)

Enhancements in the water sector

Guyanese are grateful for the improvement in the water supply system and many are looking forward to upgrades within their communities. I myself have benefited from this and can say I am quite pleased with the improvement in my water supply.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #8)

Enhancements in the water sector

There have been alot of works recently to bring water to areas that don't have and to improve the standards of the water system. The GOG has allocated monies over the last few months to ensure that this process is carried our thoroughly and on time.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #7)

Health services Expanding

With the GOG providing facilities and introducing programmes to improve the daily life of Guyanese and their well being many will be angered and seek to negatively affect it in any way they can. We must push past such events and look to a better tomorrow. Look at the bright side. Now a bigger, better building can be built with more modern equipment to ensure that records can be recovered or are somehow stored on external media. There will always be people trying to undo the good that the GOG is doing. The real test is to endure these trials and still develop.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #14)

Health services Expanding

There was great need for this new facility. Now that it is finished persons can benefit from it. The health of Guyanese is far more important than any other thing. The GOG efforts to ensure that the health sector continuously develops is indeed welcomed by all.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #13)

Health services Expanding

The health sector is definitely expanding. This progress is occurring rapidly. This new health centre should be very beneficial to Guyanese. The efforts of the GOG are proving to be successful in Guyana's development.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #12)

Housing the nation

Indeed the PNC has brought this country to demise one too many times. They must not be allowed to turn the wheel again. WE are fortunate that the PPP has managed to turn things around and thus we are now far better off than we were during the reign of PNC. The GOG has managed to develop Guyana and maintain it's stability even during the Global Financial crisis.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #16)

Housing the nation

With the new housing strategy (the one stop shop) squatting should no longer be a problem. Guyanese are jumping at the opportunity of owning their own land especially since the Government has created an opportunity for them to get loans from the bank to build a home.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #15)

Housing the nation

It is good to see that the housing strategy has taken off so well. Guyanese are grateful for htis opportunity and are snatching it up. The Minister Irfaan Ali has been doing a good job and should be commended for his efforts which have proven to be successful. Many Guyanese are benefiting from the one stop shop.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #14)

National Ophthalmology Hospital set to be commissioned soon

Cuba and Guyana has worked together in the medical field for years. Our ties are being strengthened with such developments. It is good that we have come this far and I look forward to further development as the GOG has made many efforts to ensure our health sector is upgraded.  (Jul 30, 2009 | post #9)

National Ophthalmology Hospital set to be commissioned soon

Such developments show the progress Guyana is making. Our health sector has been improving rapidly. This progress is necessary for our development as a whole. The health of Guyanese is far more important than anything else. The GOG has put alot of effort into programmes so as to maintain and upgrade the performance of the health sector.  (Jul 30, 2009 | post #8)
