do you believe in the biblical creation

How about radiometric dating....... http://www.asa3.or g/ASA/resources/Wi ens.html And besides, what is one year or a million to God? Being finite faulted beings we cannot hope to ever fully understand what is greater than us. Another thing in reference to Hold Please's post. ...who ever disputed the fact that dinosaurs existed? I have never heard a creationist dispute this? In fact the Bible speaks of such beasts. Fact is thousands of animals are extinct now that existed in the past. Climates change, enviroments change, things die. As far as aliens go I am open to the posibilities and I am a devout Christian. It is a fool that put such limitations on the Lord. Just because you cant believe it doesn't mean its not possible, you cannot box God up in a little package limiting Him to what is only understandable to you. Who's to say theres not another earth and another adam and eve.......heck maybe they didn't screw up like us and were given more authoriy than us, technology wise and development wise. Fact is just because it isn't clearly defined wether or not there is other life out there in the Word doesn't mean its beyond posibility and its really none of our buisness anyway. The subject has nothing to do with mans salvation....perio d....and thats what the Bible was given to us for. WE screwed up and need repair so Jesus was sent and the Word was given, that is made evident in the world around us. We've got enough to wory about here.  (Dec 29, 2008 | post #5)

Good God.......leave it to someone like you to start this sh*t. How does that even add up in your mind???? This is ALL ABOUT DISCRIMINATION.... ......discriminati on of firearms that is. Attaching an evil label to an inanimate object just because it looks scary. If anything I figure you would be stepping up to the plate to defend freedom....instead I see this bigotry crap!  (Nov 13, 2008 | post #2994)

Hey SeaBass, here is the new scoop. H.R. 6257: Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act of 2008 http://www.govtrac k.us/congress/bill ...bill=h110-6257 Now dont let this fool you. It does look like just a renewal of the old 94AWB but it alows far more expansion. I think this will be a means to get a foot in the door to allow the rest of HR 1022 to get in. Sneaky tactic huh???? :)  (Nov 12, 2008 | post #2991)

Who would dictate prices on it? If it were federalized and the government set prices there would be those entrepreneurs who would market it underground for a lesser price to make a buck for themselves. Fertile grounds for crime not to mention they would be a means of evading the taxes. If it were privatized and those who grew/distributed it set the prices then think of the opportunities for tax evasion and side dealing there. I also believe that we would also see the USA become one of the leading illegal exporters of Marijuana because "our legal product" will leak out into other countries that ban through opportunists who are looking to make a pretty untaxed penny. You are discounting the criminal element from your opinion here, what would you be opening the whole country up to just so you can get high?????  (Nov 10, 2008 | post #2870)

OK, let me ask you this......Lets say we had a southern baptist preacher as president. Just how would his leadership affect you? How would he impose his beleifs upon you? As Christiians we are not to dominate others so if he ran the country in a biblical fashion what would you FEAR he could possibly do to you or the rest of the land? C'mon, I want to hear just what is soooooo scary about us religious folks????? Is it because we stand for something in our lives? We are not ashamed to say we are proud of our country? We are "clean" in the sense of not condoning certain heath risk lifestyles? Is it because we are not constantly trying every depraved thing in order to liberate ourselves from (?)? C'mon....explain?? ????  (Nov 10, 2008 | post #2863)

WHAM BAM THANK'YA MAM(SIR)! You beat me to it Gunshow! This is the FACT Legalize marijuana. Now let me ask you.....do you proclaim yourself to be a God fearing man? What do these scriptures tell you? Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Galatians 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Isaiah 5:11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! Titus 2:12 Denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world Just like alcohol, it may not a sin to drink but drunkeness is a sin. So in the same this applies to being high. There is no mid point to pot, yo smoke pot, you get high, there is no inbetween, the whole getting high part is the goal. You can drink beer/whiskey and like the taste, if you take it too far and lose sobriety its yor own fault.  (Nov 10, 2008 | post #2861)

How could we alltogether refute that these violent games have an impact on our youth?????? What you put IN will come OUT....... They are programming and desensitizing themselves with the gore and violence that they put in. It is a self induced brainwash in a sense and these kids can lose their grasp on reality and then it leaks out in the form of violence and murder. Just look what happened when they tried to ban Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. There was such a public outcry from the kids because their unbridled minds are addicted to violence. We are programming the next generation of depraved humanity by allowing stuff like that to seep into the minds of children, especially at such ages when they are still learning about the little things in life.  (Nov 10, 2008 | post #2774)

Hold on sweet-pea, before you get your panties in a wad actually thinking that you are right let me just throw this bone to you. Have you forgotten Exodus 22? 1[a] "If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it or sells it, he shall repay five oxen for an ox, and(A) four sheep for a sheep. 2[b] If a thief is found(B) breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him, 3but if the sun has risen on him, there shall be bloodguilt for him. He shall surely pay. If he has nothing, then(C) he shall be sold for his theft. 4If the stolen beast(D) is found alive in his possession, whether it is an ox or a donkey or a sheep,(E) he shall pay double. THERE ARE BIG DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MURDER AND KILLING IN SELF DEFENSE. If a person threatens you with physical harm or death then you are justified in using deadly force. If deadly force is not needed to prevent your own loss of life then if you kill a man it is murder. Jesus was PRO GUN! Didn't know this did you? Did you forget that his disciples "carried "? “If you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one” (Luke 22:36) Christ expected things to become very unsafe for his disciples after his death, and told them to prepare to defend themselves from unjust aggression. Have you forgotten Peters slashing session with the roman guards ear? Do you think Christ did not know he was "strapped " lol! God commanded, “Life for life” in Scripture, and even repeated it twice (Ex. 21:23; Deut. 19:21) Evil cannot be undone and a murderer will commit murder. The scriptures above are complete and taken in context and clearly show that while we are to love and be called to a degree of pacifism......we are NOT to let ourselves be trampled on. So your argument here is pointless sir and you are the one misenterpreting scripture because you do not know the word of God. You cannot pick and choose scriptures to fit your need without taking them out of context.  (Nov 10, 2008 | post #2773)

There it is, and the fact is that there are a good deal of us who realize just how important a right it is and what we stand to lose if it is taken. We will fight and die for it and if nothing else become martyrs in defiance for that cause. We'll see if the rest of the populous follows suit and defends it, I'd wager to say after a wakeup call they will.  (Nov 8, 2008 | post #2631)

Children Out of Control!

I dunno bout the drama that has ensued in this topic but I can say that as far as what it was originaly about I think its a shame. I remember when I was a kid we didn't have all of that kind of mess going on in High School. That was back in the day where the principal was a person to be feared and administered spankings and then when you got home you stil could count on discipline from your parents as well. That was back in the day when we stil said the pledge of allegiance every morning and had morning prayer and this was public high school. Those are the only things is that have changed since then, the removal of order and discipline, the removal of God, the removal of pride for your country, and the belief that children should be let to run free and parents to take little responsibility for the outcome of their children. Children are indeed animals without structure or moral without their parents molding. It seems nowadays that parents are too busy to spend time with their kids. Mom and dad work and each have their own agendas that take prescedence over the kids. Dad spends time at work, mom is at the gym or out shopping, the kids get to grow up with a babysitter or spend most of their time in front of the electronic sitter, a video game. You get what you put in and now you are reaping what you have sown.  (Nov 8, 2008 | post #280)

HA! Wrong....Fail..... American product? Last time I checked you people were burrowing tunnels like brown moles to get "YOUR PRODUCT" into the U.S. The chances of getting gunned in Mexico may be slim but getting jabbed with a knife, bludgened to death, beaten, etc are allot better and a hell of a lot more frequent. Personally I would take a clean quick bullet to a dull knife or framing hammer. And so what if our weapons are trickling into your borders, what...are you people too animal to control yourselves or too pu*sy to step up to the plate and stop the violence on your own? That is one thing I have yet to see, a mexican put himself in harms way to protect another fellow mexican. There is no sense of brotherhood in your country. Through my life on six occaisions I have interviened and risked my life to protect a fellow american. Two of those times I had to use a firearm but never had to fire a round. I am no public defender or part of any other organisation or office but simply a plain citizen but for me and people like me we give a damn about what goes on in our backyard and will do something about it and I'll be damned if some politician thinks he can scissor out my ability to defend myself or others. Best thing we can do for Mexico is to mine the whole border, the hell with a fence or wall, land mines are cheaper! And every so may feet put up a little sign saying "Cuidado con las minas terrestres" and I dare one of you dope peddlers to come across. If you do then get ready for us and our "scary" firearms. Pray it isnt me, look in my profile at some of my pics and see if your ready to meet that kind of hardware.  (Nov 8, 2008 | post #2538)
