Illegal Immigrants Return to Mexico in Record Numbers

wow....what a racist forum.....and a very low class one at that.......there are more illegals now than there were last time i got on this racist forum.....funny how i never hear any illegals complaining about the depressed economy, cuz they are all working in the same jobs.....where as most of the over privileged spoiled americans, like myseld are constantly complaining about our economy and our country and our President.....guess thats why many employers hire illegals in the first place.....they dont want to hire a bunch of whiners....just workers....that are happy to work  (Nov 10, 2010 | post #2201)

I know right. Many Americans, both young and old, educated and uneducated, white and colored, most of them (especially ones on forums) all seem to be crying out on the rooftops, Mexicans have caused this huge downfall of our great American Nation!!! Funny thing is, most of this countries most immediately important mess ups that have made everyone stand up straight and notice how they're living had been all caused by Americans, rich Americans in high places, places so high, some of them laugh at the plights of ordinary average Americans crying on the rooftops........bu t it is very easy, and very therapeutical to just blaim everything, or alot of stuff of illegal aliens. That way they can manage to keep there pride, by not having to take responsibility for any downfalls of the nation, and put the responsibility on someone other than an American. Everything will work itself out, the economy, migration laws, global warming, etc. People are tough, and can adapt, no matter what country they were born in, or live in.  (May 19, 2009 | post #596)

I wonder who all the buyers and smokers of that meth crap are?? Dang, who here in America does all those drugs that are being shipped here daily, tons of meth, cocaine, marijuana, probably illegal aliens right? They must need all those drugs to work so hard.........like to mow all the lawns, build all the buildings, repave all the roads, cook all the food, plant all the plants, pick all the food out of the campos, etc. No Americans would sink that low, hundreds of thousands of Americans cannot be addicted to illegal drugs and legal prescription drugs, that would just be preposterous!  (May 19, 2009 | post #595)

At least a thousand a day make it here. From South Padre Island all the way to San Diego, easily 1,000 per day, but many are deported. The main issue, in my opinion should be how to handle someone without a social security # who is over here living working, and has no intention on ever leaving. And if they are just a little bit carefull, will never get kicked out.  (May 19, 2009 | post #2166)

Yea, but over here in Reynosa, Matamoros, Camargo, Miguel Alleman, Rio Bravo, etc, they make very little pesos, and the stuff costs the same. Like jeans/pants, appliances like washers and dryers, stoves, tvs, etc. Sometimes me and my wife trip out, because will go to Mexico like a couple a miles away, and will be like, dang they have expensive stuff over here. But I will agree, the rent over there is cheaper, and the houses are uglier, and less civilized, but stronger and longer lasting, hahaa. Also, the food and restaurants is a little cheaper, and stuff like mechanic work, welding. But relatively speaking the "cost of living" here in the southern US compared to Northern Mexicos is relatively the same. Here though we have a "minimum wage" and even the lowliest jobs have to pay it. Yea there is a lot of contract work, done by construction workers, maids, gardeners, child care workers, all done under the table. But over there, no minimum wage, guys and girls are working for peanuts. But where ever one lives, and no matter how unfair or fair it is, I've noticed strong people can adapt, thrive and be happy...........bu t always on the lookout for something better, which is normal.  (May 19, 2009 | post #2164)

I think corruption will become less normal one day in Mexico, and here on the border. I say this in a hoping kind of way. Society seems to work better when you can trust the cops to not be one of the bad guys when there at home. I tell my wife all the time, we have our own culture here on the border, its not really like the mainstream northern and middle USA, and not like Ciudad Mante, and other inner Mexican cities, here we get a great mixture of both cultures, both the good and the bad. I try to squeeze the good out of both cultures, and make my life like that, very interesting to invent your own cultural values, or follow recently invented ones. For example, nosotros talk like this, today yo fuiste par the parke, y my dog came tambien.  (May 19, 2009 | post #2163)

How come Mexicans like to live on welfare?

I've cried myself to the point of wanting to just go to sleep, and thanks for the 6 pack, washed down the chicken breast, macaroni, and green beans just right. Thank God that the USA does provide Welfare, and whatever social programs that the government deems is needed to help out our citizens, and whoever else may be living here. I wonder if some people even know that there are migrant mexican workers who have been living and working in the USA for 30 or 35 years, have raised their families, have, are, or will send their citizen kids to college, and are great human beings...........b ut they didnt come here legally.......so screw em right? I've lived in many places across this great land, both in city slums to country ranches, and one thing I've found if a man or woman is hard working, likes family, and treats others fairly, than dog gone it........let em be, respect em..........theres plenty of good people of all races, and plenty of swine too all mixed together. Doesnt it just ruffle your feathers when individuals lump millions of people together, and says these people are like this.....not very realistic. Nice having a drink wit ya  (May 12, 2009 | post #231)

The tons of guys I've met that are from Mexico, all have the some story........Mexic o is great, its even better than the US in some areas.... I used to have the same question......why you wanna come over here then? Then I found out that what they were talking about was how beautiful it is over there. Sure, the inner cities can be pretty slummy looking, but they have lots of mountain ranges, rivers, landscape, fruit trees, parrots flying around, not too mention being around their own culture at the same time.....I think thats what they mean by Mexico being beautiful or soooooo good. Now if you wanna talk a steady paycheck at like 5 times as much per day, then the US is where its at.  (May 12, 2009 | post #2130)

U.S. soldier in Iraq shoots, kills comrades

Very cool. I agree. the mainstream press seems to pick just the stories that will, how should I say it, get the most shock value, especially when it is something new, and just happened. They're fighting for ratings, and must come up with some "great news story" before their competition does. And they'll follow up on it tommorrow and the next day, until another more exciting, more fantastic tragedy happens........... shhhidd Americans eat up that kind of entertainment, shock value, not boring at all.  (May 12, 2009 | post #504)

Thats a little bit harsh isnt it? Its cool to have your own opinion, but each person or parent has the right to raise their kid how they want. Everyone cant raise their kid the same.  (May 12, 2009 | post #500)

Yes, I think the Mexican culture is different than Americas. Just as Canadas is also different from the US culture and the Mexican culture. I've been to Mexico many many times, and my wife and most of her family are from Mexico, from Ciudad Mante. And to them, you guys, corruption is normal behaviour, here it is much more hidden and punishment comes much more often. I am from the more norther state called Oklahoma, and the difference in corruption and breaking of laws is much more apparent down here just being close to Mexico, on the border. Where I live it is about 95% Hispanic, both Chicanos and Mexican Citizens, some inbetween. And corruption down here is a very normal part of life. I've gotten out of jail a few times in Mexico without being finger printed, or having my picture taken, just cuz I told them they could take me to the ATM which was conveniently close to the little small funny looking cheap jails they got, and I took out the "fine" and they said adios amigo.  (May 12, 2009 | post #2125)
