Local small farmers glad to see Prop. 2 pass

I already buy organic eggs, meat, and dairy. Not that gross crap from Safeway that my tax dollars already subsidize. Wow, paying more for junk loaded with mucus, puss, antibiotics, cholesterol is great to raise obese children. And I certainly don't pay those prices. By the time prices get that high, it will probably be a natural inflation of our terrible economy. Since I don't live on the American McDonald's-TV Dinner diet, I don't consume much of the products either way. Try eating something fresh once in a while.  (Nov 17, 2008 | post #5)

Unlicensed teen driver hits crossing guard in Watsonville

Can unlicensed drivers please start receiving FELONY charges. They cause traffic. They kill people. They flee the scene. They are an epidemic in Santa Cruz county.  (Oct 23, 2008 | post #16)

-Union Grove probably sold him a bad deal and refused to deal with it. That store is such a rip-off with horrid service. I wish they'd go out of business in this bad economy. -Zayante: Was this house one of the many meth labs? -Drunk Driver: Although that was a stupid mistake, prayers for the deceased and family.  (Oct 23, 2008 | post #37)

Target, accused of overcharging, to pay $1.745 million

"It may be only 20 cents for you, but they do 100,000 of those a week, it adds up," Office Space scandal! MFers already swindle enough money.  (Oct 22, 2008 | post #10)

I saw A LOT of this all weekend. One guy even jot across an intersection with a child on his handlebars. And if he were to get himself and child killed, the cyclist community would naturally blame the driver. Band bikes. I am proud of my carbon footprint the more I see these articles.  (Oct 22, 2008 | post #7)

Police seek warrants for girl, sister in Sudden Street wreck

"Watsonville police have asked the District Attorney's Office to charge the 15-year-old with hit and run, reckless driving, child endangerment, driving unlicensed, failing to have children younger than 6 in a safety seat, failing to stop at a stop sign and speeding." Approved! Unlicensed drivers should receive much higher consequences. This is the kind of shiznit that they pull.  (Oct 16, 2008 | post #25)

Forget the coins, here's the card; city's ParkCard could ...

I put all my pocket change into my ashtray instead of handing it out to bums. I never have to scrounge for change. I also rarely park downtown. I can get everything I need in clean Capitola.  (Oct 16, 2008 | post #6)

Pre-Paid works, or also those machines that allow you to pay with a CREDIT CARD. Santa Cruz meters run til 8PM, 7Days a week, and cost that of San Francisco. Santa Cruz has hardly any night life or job force to justify gouging more on parking than a REAL city. I wonder if those meter maids get sexual stimulation from writing their stupid tickets.  (Oct 16, 2008 | post #5)
