What does race have to do with a person choosing an Ivy League school over a state college.(I attended a state college so don't get your panties in a bunch) However if your child is choosing a college and he or she has the choice between city college or the option to attend a prestigious college what are you going to suggest? Here's another example, if your son plays football and they have the option to attend Findlay college or Ohio or Texas State what are you going to tell them to do? An Open Letter To America's Christians
You are responding to something that you don't know what I was posting to. Private is a privilege be it based on the parent(s) or guardian(s) judgement to make or scholarships that the school issue. The poster stated that his child(ren) attends private school and that they vote against any tax levies for public schools because he doesn't agree with the curriculum. I asked if you can't afford a private school then 'oh well' with public schools? I don't believe in the voucher system. I think public schools should raise their standards and adjust how to cater to the students served. Why is this a race issue? This issue is based on economics. White students are recipients of vouchers as well. Stop generalizing. I'm black and attended private schools as does my daughter now. Our choice(my/husband) however I don't vote against school levies because if I choose to send my child to a public school I want it to be a good school. You do know that good schools helps with property values as well. (Tuesday | post #118)

I have no problem with someone not liking the person in office for party affiliation or policies. You can talk about and joke to certain degree. I don't think any person's family especially children should be talked about. I was a child when Pres Carter was in office and I do remember the right and the media attacking her. The same with Chelsea Clinton. It's wrong. If you were to check my comments you will see that I've told someone it's wrong to talk about ex-Gov Palin's child. However making jokes about race(Obama) disabilities(Dole) religious(Kennedy/Romney) is wrong regardless of party affiliation. So you are wrong in your assumption of me.
