Cops fighting again

Kops are thugs with badges, guns & public money. No more "... protect & serve ...", unless it's covering for each other.  (Oct 25, 2012 | post #52)

Election Poll, June 2012 - Guntown, MS

Yet another Presidential election where one votes not for the candidate they like the best, but for the one they dislike the least.  (Jun 6, 2012 | post #1)

Chili's (Tupelo)

We were in Chili's / Tupelo Saturday for lunch. It was fairly crowded, but the servers were attentive and quick on their feet. The food was promptly served and the drinks were never empty. Well done!  (Jun 3, 2012 | post #16)

seatbelt ticket

Not at all. I'm over 60, never been arrested for anything. Nothing worse than a speeding ticket every 10 years or so. What I do have is extensive experience with kops as a result of spending well over 30 years in the field of social services. I have seen firsthand how those who are sworn to "... protect & serve ..." truly behave.  (May 26, 2012 | post #39)

Kops are uniformed thugs with guns & badges and taxpayer funding. They do not adhere to the mantra of "...protect & serve ..." unless it is another kop. They answer to the highest bidder, plain & simple.  (May 25, 2012 | post #37)

Kops are lousy role models. More and more they are thugs with badges, guns & taxpayer funding. Better a young kid sell used cars than become a kop.  (May 25, 2012 | post #33)

Go to youtube & find "1959 Chevy vs 2009 Malibu" crash test. You just might be surprised. Vehicles of today are much more crash-worthy than the biggest of the turnpike cruisers of yesteryear. Would you drive NASCAR without a helmet & belts? What about an NHRA dragster? OK, don't wear the available restraints. Just don't expect everyone else to pick up your medical bills when your insurance coverage runs out.  (May 23, 2012 | post #21)

Sure, some wrecks are going to leave folks trapped in their belts and some of them might die. It is much more common for folks to walk away from wrecks if they're strapped in the vehicle than not. I'll take my chances strapped inside rather than bouncing around inside or even worse getting tossed out only to get smacked by my own vehicle as it chases after me. Not making use of available safety equipment is just thinning out the herd.  (May 22, 2012 | post #14)

Obama-Marriage - Guntown, MS

Over 60, happily married and not gay. I happen to believe that homosexuality is a condition of birth and as such, those individuals should enjoy the same rights and freedoms as the heterosexual community.  (May 11, 2012 | post #5)

yes I'm white and i date white people!

I have been in more than 20 countries and spent time with persons of every color and position (excepting royalty) that one might consider. A great many of the finest people I have ever been around and known did not share my skin tone and most of the worst folks I've been around look more like me than I care to acknowledge. Racism is a complete waste of energy. Considering just how short life can be, to deny oneself the joys of friendship or even love simply because of skin tone is senseless.  (May 5, 2012 | post #56)

Yall do realize that despite skin tone that we are all still fallible, incredibly screwed up human beings, correct? Each and every one of us are more alike than we are different!!  (May 4, 2012 | post #48)

To encounter the level of outright racism expressed in this and countless other discussions on the Net in this day and age is truly disheartening. To deliberately discount a fellow human being soley on the basis of skin tone is puerile and pointless. True love sees no color.  (May 3, 2012 | post #27)
