R.I.P Macho Man Randy Savage

Former professional wrestler "Macho Man" Randy Savage reportedly was killed today when he suffered a heart attack behind the wheel and crashed head-on into a tree. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Seminole man, 58, was killed after losing control of his Jeep Wrangler and crashing into a tree. The highway patrol didn't release the driver's name, but listed passenger Barbara Poffo, 56, as being treated for minor injuries. TMZ.com reported the death of Savage, whose real name is Randy Poffo. And the website of his brother, Lanny Poffo – also a former pro wrestler – says: "In Loving Memory, Randy Mario Poffo, Nov. 15, 1952 - May 20, 2011." According to TMZ, Lanny Poffo said Savage had a heart attack while driving around 10 a.m.  (May 20, 2011 | post #1)

Arizona wants speedy ruling on immigration law

Bill, no disrespect but your views and suggestions are idiotic in itself. You have 800,000 people in El Paso and you can't even get 1/3 of El pasoans to back the football team because they are compared to the Bad News Bears. UTEP does not have a winning tradition, but a losing tradition. And before I get scrutinized, it's a FACT. Go and lookup the past 25 years from season to season or add up their records and tell me what you get. Majority of fair weathered El Paso sports fans want winners and cheer for winners. Why do you think their are more Texas shirts sold in retail stores than there are UTEP shirts? I'm not discounting the loyal UTEP supporters, but they are outnumbered and there is only a handful. At the end of the day, that's only about 15,000 people going to the Sun Bowl for every home game. Get a decent, above .500 football team and you'll get about 30,000 fans. It's off topic, but look what has happened to the Diablos. The only way you can get 50,000+ screaming fans to sell out the Sun Bowl is to be a good CONSISTENT program and play a better program. Other than that, fans see the product on the field and it's not exactly 5 star talent. The writing has been on the wall for the longest time and there is less of a chance of it turning around until you bring in the big name coaches who can bring in the big name recruits.  (May 11, 2011 | post #6)

Los Angeles Lakers

lakers fans

They are about $30 million over the salary cap, and still have $45.3 million invested in Artest, Steve Blake and Luke Walton over the next three years. The Lakers have eight players under contract who will be older than 30 next season. There might not be immediate help. Salary cap restraints prevent them from landing anyone but a mid-level player  (May 9, 2011 | post #50232)
