CDTA (corruption and people on the take)

And for being a supposedly "retired driver", you still have alot of pent up anger against system 1 and cdta. That in itself says you have issues. You are retired, why harbor on this in this stage of your life? Thats unless you arent a retired driver but just a taxi driver or even passenger with nothing better to do. So sad either way.  (Sep 21, 2012 | post #73)

And highly doubt you were ever a bus driver to talk so little about a job you dedicated 30 years doing. Your just another troll just trying to stir up trouble. Leaving the driving to the professionals. You are probable an advantage driver. LOL  (Sep 21, 2012 | post #71)

[email protected] knows. You are so deluded. It does take alittle more driving skill to navigate turns and traffic with a 40 foot bus than with a 15-20 foot bus. Thats one reason in difference in pay. Also a line driver is responsible for hundreds of people a day compared to maybe a dozen or so that star drives around. I do agree that system 2 is seperated by system 1 but its mostly from the system 2's side. System 1 has no ill feelings toward system 2. nd mechanics do a great job maintaining buses so your deluded about some imaginary lines there.  (Sep 21, 2012 | post #70)

CDTA Union President to steal pension funds

And as for the union, i agree on the members being spineless and would like to add selfish and lazy. You are right, they only show up when it involves themselves but if it concerns a fellow member, most don't care. And when i ask if they are going to attend the meeting, the excuses i get range from "I can't get a babysitter", " I get out at 6 and won't have enough time to get there after work", and " just don't feel like it". Seriously, members can't make the time, 1 hour a month, to attend a union meeting which involves your living?!?!? Then definitely spineless cause people were afraid what carm would do if we didnt vote for it when he came to each division threatening "or else". Stand up and put trust in the stregnth of our union.  (Sep 8, 2012 | post #40)

CDTA Union President to steal pension funds

Last contract extension was terrible. Freeze on wages for what sick time paid??? What a joke. Every union has that already. Mortage tax? Its been going down every month thats why carm threw it in the negotiations. Cause there is no chance for raise if we are relying on mortgage tax. This extension is dogshit. As for the rest of the board i have no problems with them. In my eyes they have no reason for losing their positions. Only steve and jen.  (Sep 8, 2012 | post #38)

Getting There: Why does the CDTA bus say it's stopping wh...

Simple concept: Pull yellow wire for next bus stop. They should have some kind of instructions displayed for those who don't understand how it works.  (Sep 4, 2012 | post #5)

Cdta bus announces next bus stop not it's going to stop. Example: " Next stop is 3rd and Congress". Stop means bus stop destination.  (Sep 4, 2012 | post #4)

And as far as advantage is concerned, there is a constant flow of complaints coming in. Cdta supervisors have been constantly been catching them driving dangerously. One driver cut an offduty supervisor off then gave him the finger. Of course he was reported. But hey, if cdta wants their name on that kind of driver, then they are kinda digging their own grave. Cdta drivers when they start, have to go threw a 6 week training period, random drug tests, yearly refresher courses, and 19a physicals, written and road tests. But if you prefer flyby nite drivers who require nothing a a license, it won't be long if there will be a major accident or incident by advantage and will have cdta's name dragged threw the mud. You get what you pay for. Cheap drivers equal dangerous drivers. Just a matter of time.  (Sep 4, 2012 | post #54)

The problem with the union is about 90% of the members are only worried about their own jobs and not as a union. Members don't show to union meetings unless they have their own grievance, otherwise they don't go. If every member pulled together as one, they wouldn't of voted for contracting jobs out. 175 members showed for this past meeting cause steve green stole from our pensions, but 6 months ago only 10 people attended the union meeting, and 6 months from now, only 10 people will probably attend. Union morale is very low and carm knows it and took advantage of it by offering a lousy contract extension. The clause to allow people to be paid sick time on days booked off is what passed the contract, and carm was able to sneak crappy clauses like contracting out star jobs and clause to charge new members 25% healthcare costs. Why? Because existing members didn't care for the the other guy. Star or new member. Like i said, we aren't united. And till we do, Carm and cdta will keep taking advantage of that. Plus didn't help having a corrupt business agent who was in cahoots with Carm.  (Sep 4, 2012 | post #53)

The fat white drunk that drinks all day/every day at 3rd ...

That guy is a waste of space. He collects disability for being an alcaholic in which he spends for alcohol. The system supports his disability. And he tries to intimidate people waiting at the 3rd and Congress bus stop for spare change so he can walk across street to buy from the liquor store. I've also seen him walk up to cars waiting at red light and ask for money. He kicked one person's car door in cause they told him to get a job. What a fucking piece of garbage.  (Sep 1, 2012 | post #1)
