Frustrated about lack of transportation & job opportunity here in Denton

I know this economy is stuck in a rut, in general, but I'm 26 & have my BA in Spanish. DCTA's system is very limited & inconvenient, & there's only 1 taxi service in town, & the drivers take either 3 hrs. or for NEVER to come & get you. I need a car to get a job and a job to get a car. I feel trapped. I have a disability, & the DCTA Access people act like they don't want to help me. I'm tired of being BORED all day doing NOTHING! Well, I go to the library, study & research, & do a few other things, but I have student loans to pay off, my landlord raised the rent, & I can't live off this $694 in SSI & disability benefits. I don't even have money to set aside & save, & people think I'm just mismanaging my $$. No. After rent, utilities, & phone, I'm lucky to be able to buy a stick of deodorant. Yes, I receive food stamps. But I want to be able to pay off my debts & put my degree to use, & no one, I mean NO one is hiring, from what people tell me. & I can only do a certain limit of work. I can't stand past 15 minutes. My ankles swell up, & my feet & back hurt. I get varicose veins. So, is it WORTH it to sacrifice selling something, like my 2-yr. old TV I rarely watch, just to take the Commuter Express all the way to Dallas? To tell you the truth, I don't understand that schedule. I also had 2 strokes @ age 5. Can someone please help me or give me some ideas on a job that's not too overwhelming?
