Placenta Implantation Effectiveness?

Dear Forum, I am a CKD patient (kidney) looking for my next try at stem cells. I had a six session treatment in Pune India, in Feb 2013 using cord blood and bone marrow, but have seen little improvement. I have read lately about a treatment using the abdominal fat lobe fused to the kidneys to supply a continuous supply of stem cells, which is successful, but has only been performed on rats: http://jasn.asnjou rnals.org/content/ ...ASN.2013040387 http://www.science daily.com/releases ...0313172933.htm http://www.ncbi.nl m.nih.gov/pubmed/2 4627352 These articles as well as a new one, say that injected stem cells have a very short life of days or hours. http://www.rdmag.c om/news/2014/07/re ...m-cell-therapy Does this apply to only mesenchymal stem cells? I have been told by a doctor doing placenta implantation, that placenta cells, both injected and implanted placenta tissue, last 325 days. He proposes a treatment using a total of 10 million cells, both implanted and injected. (http://stemcell-t herapy-mexico.com/ index.htm Dr. Gonzalez) Another doctor, also in Mexico, who uses placenta implantation also, uses a "laser activation" of the stem cells (http://www.stemce llmexico.com/Treat ment.html). Dr. Gonzalez does not. A clinic in Malaysia promises "significant (but partial) improvements" using cord blood injections, cultivated to 100million cell count. (http://www.mingme dical.net/about-us .html) "We in East Asia have been commonly using Stem Cell to treat degenerative conditions, over the last 10 years, and have refined the treatment protocols: Condition (patient age 57 yo) Chronic Kidney Disease Intravenous Cord Blood Stem Cell 2 million per kg body weight 3 times, at 3-4 month intervals" Another Mexican clinic that uses placenta cells: http://stemcell-th erapy-mexico.com/i ndex.htm https://sites.goog le.com/site/stemce llmexteatments/ Dr Rodriguez I am left wondering a few things: What is the life span of injected stem cells? Is there a difference between "mesenchymal " and placenta cell life? Is activation of cells necessary? How is this best accomplished? Should "blood vessel-forming cells" be used with injections? Does implantation of placenta tissue have a better chance of working well? What cell count is necessary for each type of cell? Any opinions, knowledge, or discussion of the above would be most welcome and appreciated! Thank you, Mike  (Jul 4, 2014 | post #1)

New PEMF website- Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy

Way to go! Great new forum! This is such a needed topic. It seems that PEMF may be as effective as bisphosphonates. Wouldn't it be great to provide everyone with a real alternative? Looking forward to everyone's testimonials, and hopefully clinical trial information! Best regards, Mike  (Aug 12, 2012 | post #2)

Fosamax Health Risks Questioned

Dear Myrt, You might want to look into Strontium Citrate. They have been using it in Europe for a few years with good success. Also, see if your testosterone levels are good. This can really make a difference! Mike  (Aug 18, 2010 | post #87)

Osteoporosis

Fosamax, Boniva, Actonel and Osteonecrosis

Dear Forum, I have osteoporosis too, and have taken Fosamax. I became concerned about the long term effects and decided to look for an alternative. There is one! I found a Chinese Herbal Medicine called Xianling Gubao. It is hard to find here in the states, as it is under approval by our FDA at this time. It is offered in OTC form in China, however, and I have a supplier there. Unlike many Chinese Traditional Medicines, this one is manufactured by a highly respected firm who does clinical trials to verify the efficacy of their medicines. Xianling Gubao in its trials shows efficacy equal to the biophosphonates! It has no side effects, either! I have decided to try and market it, and have a website. If you are interested, I have links to the clinical trial information. The price is reasonable, considering shipping from China. Feel free to contact me for any information! 21 with osteoporosis - no cause found, help!

Dear Paulin, Sorry to hear of your situation. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis a number of years ago, and, being a male was rather devistated when I learned of it. Mine turned out to be low hormone levels. You might want to have them check your estorgen, or whatever. I took Fosamax for a number of years, and began to become concerned when I heard of all of the negative effects of long term use. I found an herbal Chinese medicine, Xianling Gubao. It is hard to find here in the states, as it is under approval by our FDA at this time. It is offered in OTC form in China, however, and I have a supplier there.
