I respect your views and opinions, however, your delivery is lacking slightly. You come across as a bitter African American, however, I believe you are at this posting as a 100% American, were you born here, right? Based on your reference to being a "young black" male, I'm going to guess so. If you weren't born before the 1960s or so, you really don't have a dog in the "slavery " fight. As do none of us. Things have changed. We are all equal now, black president aside. If your beliefs are so strong in the black community, why don't you spend your energy in those communities trying to enforce what you claim to be lacking from the "system" . Maybe you do, and if so, that is awesome. If not, you have no right to be on this website complaining about where our current system is lacking. If you really want to make a difference, I would recommend that you take your energy and focus, and put it into your community. Help fix the "system" that has created this animosity and ignorance in your community. Educate them, tell the people those that believe it is easier to blame the system than to take responsibility, that is is them that will make the difference. Take the burden on themselves, as much as it is hard, someone has to do it. That's where things will start to turn around. If there wasn't a problem, there wouldn't be a system. And vice versa. Ignore the racist people. Reach out within your community. That's where it starts. On all levels. (Tuesday Dec 15 | post #73)

You may not be a criminal, but you sure are a negative person. The fact that you point out in every post that you are black sends the message you are very focused on skin color and how it makes you different. This alone contributes to the division that exists in today's society, especially in the south. Until people get past the color of skin and focus the real issues, things aren't going to get better.
