she is 19. She WILL be tried as an adult.  (Oct 26, 2007 | post #212)

Boy, 4, overdoses on pills at home

the talk about the grandmother--- 39-21=18. 21 years ago many people got married at age 18 and began having children right away. Even today this is not unusual. Let's not condemn the grandmother for being young because she very well could have had her daughter legitimately. And like others have pointed out, no one said the other children belonged to the 21 year old.  (Sep 7, 2007 | post #129)

Coroner probing death of 14-day-old girl

Wow we don't even know for sure what exactly happened in this situation. The mother could have been able to care for her child, no one said the mother is the one who possibly injured this baby. And I hate to tell you that it IS a woman's right to keep her baby. And who said this woman isn't married?? This article mentions nothing of the sort. What a shame you are wanting society to regress to stigmatize unwed mothers more than they still are. And yes, they ARE still stigmatized, just not as bad as they used to be.  (Sep 3, 2007 | post #4)

28-year-old carjacked, shot, killed

again, it's important to know that the typical victim actually is an adult male as opposed to women, elderly and children. The original poster came of sexist and ignorant.  (Aug 25, 2007 | post #127)

if you knew anything about crime you would know that adult males are victims of crimes more often than any other demographic.  (Aug 25, 2007 | post #24)

ok look up her account on facebook.com I did and guess what, I can't look at her profile because I don't attend the same school as she does.  (Aug 15, 2007 | post #144)

Gag order issued in Trudeau case

no but the post implied that all underage drinkers are going to be driving home which is not the case. I'm not saying it's ok to supply minors with alcohol but I'm saying it's wrong to assume that they all drink and drive just because a few do. My point was that adults drink and drive too, the way the comment was worded just got on my nerves is all  (Aug 14, 2007 | post #123)

facebook isn't out there for the world to see, you have to go to the same school as someone to see their profile, and even so a person can make their profile private so only their friends can see the content  (Aug 14, 2007 | post #92)

Sentencing today in Taylor U. crash

personally I feel that woman should have been punished as well for negligence or something. However this man was a semi driver and he had to follow certain federal regulations and he didn't, as stated in the article. It's probably a lot easier to charge this man and win the case because he clearly broke a law, whereas if the woman was charged and tried the case wouldn't have been as cut and dry.  (Aug 14, 2007 | post #55)

I just think it is ignorant to say ALL liberals will run away from the chance to argue their point. It's saying that a large group of people all have the exact same response when presented with an opportunity to make their case. I tend to believe that not every liberal will run from the chance to defend their ideas. I just want to put it out there that not all liberals are exactly the same just as not all conservatives are the same. And when confronted with with a real life decision I tend to be fairly liberal, just because I happen to think dna data bases are a good idea doesn't mean I'm not liberal. It is a product of my education, being a criminal justice major, and knowing that these types of data bases have a lot of potential to catch criminals. Perhaps there are some who believe these data bases are a civil rights violation (I haven't heard this myself, until this forum). However I would bet I'm not the only liberal who thinks these are a good idea.  (Aug 5, 2007 | post #17)
