Tax hikes on table at Las Cruces meeting Tuesday

Note that NOT ONE of these suggestions talk about reining in spending or cutting entitlements? Limit welfare (in its' many forms) to a maximum of two-year consecutive receipt with a limit to 10-years lifetime. Refuse to pay additional benefits for children born out of wedlock. Limit of 2 children per female getting benefits. The state should cut of funding if the woman will not identify the father. The state should then go after the father with all haste. I just do not think that the taxpayers of NM should be responsible for paying for a person's laziness and poor decisions. My gawd, are we surprised that a Democrat has left nothing but budget deficits? It seems to be the new norm for Democratic administrations. Sure, Bush left a recession and a debt, but this President has quadrupled it. 1. Firing GM's CEO? 2. Along with Bush, the bailouts. I oppose the bailouts. Am I wrong to look for a Constitutional basis for my opposition? 3. Obama has created 32 Czars. Is that constitutional? 4. Article 1 Section 6: which is exactly what happened with Obama appointing Hillary. 5. There is clearly a violation of the separation of powers in the Constitution as far as the Judicial Branch and the Executive Branch in the way that the Chrysler bankruptcy has been handled. 6. What about the US Census being taken over by the Executive Branch? We will stop there, just to limit your embarrassment.  (Yesterday | post #5)

This includes any public place. Personally, I want to start a restaurant where the hostess asks me, "Children or No Children?" Teach your urchin some manners or stay at home. We go out to eat for the food and the ambience. We DO NOT want to see food fights or hear wailing. I have been very successful in getting reseated if the disturbance is great. The management of the restaurant should be willing to correct the behavior if the parent won't ... ask the offenders to leave your establishment.  (Saturday | post #8)

I still like Kiva Patio Cafe at 600 Amador (Amador @ Tornillo) Not much to look at, but the food is fabulous. All of you people who swear by Andele's or El Comedor should try this place. The FAJITAS are flaming hot and smokin' when they get to your table. The sopapilla compuesta is fabulous, as are the gorditas.  (Saturday | post #13)
