Feherty, always with a quip, catching heat for joke on Co...

As a twenty six year former military, I applaud David. In the service we almost trusted the enemy more than the members of Congress. You could see and know your enemy but Congress would stick a knife in your back in a heartbeat and you would never know it until it was too late. Guess freedom of speech only applies to some people.  (May 13, 2009 | post #44)

Tiger Is Back, But Without The Same Power

Maybe he was exhausted. he played two weeks in a row. He usually takes a month off between tournaments. It is just tooooo tiring to play two or three weeks in a row. That is just working too hard.  (May 10, 2009 | post #3)

Feherty, always with a quip, catching heat for joke on Co...

Glad to see someone with balls enough to tell it like it is. She is more dangerous to the troops and the country than any of the terrorists.  (May 9, 2009 | post #3)

Top Golfers Come To Cromwell

This turnament is a good example as to why the PGA Tour should pass a rule that would make the prima donna pros play in each tournament on the tour at least once every five years. They could still play in only fifteen to twenty tournaments, including majors, each year. It would only mean they could not play only their favorite courses each year. Would also give the fans a better idea of the best players because in the five year period everyone would have played every course on tour at least once in that period.  (May 6, 2009 | post #25)

Woods leads players in support of 2016 Olympics bid | UK ...

Wonder how much Tiger would demand from the Olympic committee just to show up. You know he would not do it for just his country. Don't think he would play in the Olympics. Would use the " I'm to exhausted from my buzy schedule to play." Then go the next week to a tournament that pays him 2,000,00 to just show up.  (Apr 16, 2009 | post #4)

Sour grapes threaten Woods' reputation

Have you ever heard Tiger say someone played well that beat him? No. It has always been I did this and made some excuse. I guess, according to Tiger, no one else can play well.  (Apr 14, 2009 | post #3)

Perry, Cabrera atop leaderboard

They will go over every shot and putt Tiger missed and try and find some excuse to blame the golf course.  (Apr 12, 2009 | post #2)

Golf - Don't like Tiger? A few reasons to explain why

He didn't exactly grow up on food stamps either. As a retired Army officer with 27 years, I know they wern't starving on Earl's retirement pay.  (Apr 11, 2009 | post #4)

Even with Tiger at No. 1, golf still mostly white

So what? Tiger had it easy. If you want some real heros in this area why don't you write about Lee Elder, Charlie Sifford and the real trail blazers. You know, the ones, unlike Tiger, wern't allowed to eat in the finest restaurants, stay in the fine hotels and got death threats for playing in a tournament. But, as usual, they are forgotten because Tiger gets credit for everything that ever happened in golf.  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #2)

Woods vs. Nicklaus: Who Would Win?

Think it is more the equipment, not to Tiger proof them. In Jack and Arnold's prime the real big hitters hit it 250 to 260. Now almost everyone is bombing it over 300 most of the time. Including the guys who 5 years ago were hitting it 230. In Jack and Arnold's prime most playere hit a 7 iron 150 to 155. Now they are hitting it 220. And with the new square grooves they can spin and stop a ball on concrete. There is proof of that on the Senior tour. Some of the 60 group are hitting it much longer than they were in their prime Played Bay Hill a lot when it was first built. 17 is a good example. Back then it was 200 to 215. The good players would hit 3 iron to 3 wood on the hole. Now everyone is hitting 6 or 7 iron. If you were given the chance to drop three to four clubs into a hole wouldn't you play better? One other reason they play better is the fact they all cry like babiies if a blade of grass is out of place or the greens are not soft enough to play target golf.  (Mar 31, 2009 | post #5)
