How many rounds ?

And exactly how are you going to do that? You must be pretty bad at math. First off the military and LE agencies would not comply with such an order to confiscate guns from law abiding citizens, and are "gun nuts" like me with few exceptions. Second, 100 million gun owners...If only 10% decided to resist, that is an armed force larger than the 8 largests armies of the world combined. Ain't going to happen, and if they try, it'll be ugly. That's the reality. Your world of flowers and unicorns will never exist, human nature never changes. Man has been fighting for their freedom from those just like you since the dawn of time, that struggle will never end.....O.L.  (Feb 5, 2013 | post #207)

How many rounds ?

Where does it say I can't. I have guns, lots of them because of people like you. How many and where is not anyones business. I want you to be the first one though my door if you want them, not your mercenaries. Spent 25 years in the miltary fighting commies like you, won't have any problem dropping a few in the neighborhood....O.L.  (Feb 5, 2013 | post #203)

Is mayor Alborn out of line on banning guns?

"No municipality or county shall regulate, in any way, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms." Sue, and what part of the NM constitution above did he not understand? I was one of the speakers, blame 25 years in the military and watching our freedoms and rights being stripped by politicians who think they are above the law. He probably relyed on his city attorney advice, big mistake. I hope he learned something from it, I know many other mayors did! :)......O.L.  (Jan 29, 2013 | post #46)

Well I have a problem with you making that decision for me through politicians and paid mercenaries. I WON'T let you make that decision for me. Say they were to do something stupid, I want you to be the first through my door. Do you agree the cops need AR-15's? You and I are at risk from the same criminals they are, and you and I will be in harms way before the cops will. What ever the police have...What ever the criminals have, that's what I'll have, a piece of paper written by other men isn't going to stop me.....O.L.  (Jan 27, 2013 | post #7)

QD, you are a 100 years off. When Capt Parker mustered his men on Lexingon green about 2am April 19 1775, and there were no sign of the regulars, he told his men to disperse but stay close to the muster drums, some decided to head to the tavern. It was impolite to carry firearms in a tavern, just social protocol, no law. How do you unload a musket? You shoot it. At this very time frame Paul Revere had been captured between Lexington and Concord by a red coat patrol and was being questioned with a pistol to his head. He told them they'd better stay out of Lexington because there were 500 men (an exaggeration, really only 70) waiting on them. The regulars laughed at such a tall tale. Then they heard multiple muskets go off toward Lexington that convinced them PR was telling the truth. This shaped the mindset of the red coats rest of the day and had a hand in those first shots being fired. As for the stats, I said it was a guess but so what if it's only 25% or 10%, it's still a lot of guns getting into bad guys hands. You guys miss the point, those guns are already in those bars period. I don't go into bars but do restaurants, the fact no one can keep the bad guys out is even MORE reason I'm going to carry mine. Simple fact of life. I'd say curl up in the fetal position at home if you are so scared of good guys with guns but the bad guys will find you there too. Most of you anti's will be diagnosed with a mental disorder called hoplophobia, but that's OK, Obama care will cover it.....O.L.  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #18)

Yep, myself and wife as well for more than that. The police plotters are full of firearms stolen from vehicles. I'd venture to guess more of the guns in criminals hands come from auto thefts than home bugleries. First thing I was taught at about 6 years old was alcohol and firearms don't mix. Again a bunch of you pinheads want to punish the responsible people yet do nothing about the criminals. Gun control laws from the start were rascist and elitist, still are today and so are those who support them......O.L.  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #16)

Gun foolish wise not, I'm licenced in 2 states, I know that. Now ask me if I care. We can carry in places that only serve wine/beer if it's less than 51% of their gross receipts. Now how the hell are we supposed to know that? Yep places that dispense hard stuff is a no no, even if it's a restaurant like Applebee's. A little truth of life, it's no bodies business where I carry or how. Those who might see the business end aren't following the law, why should I. Get killed or let someone else get killed because of a piece of paper written by stupid people elected by you? Concealed is concealed. You'll never know unless the SHTF and at that point no one's going to care. If I was to get caught, it's a petty misdemeanor, I'll pay my $35 and be on my way. Chaps your ass don't it! :)...O.L.  (Jan 24, 2013 | post #6)

OMG, there are already guns in bars whether you know it or not. You want to keep those who've gone through training, a background check, and finger printed out. Where is the sense in that? You must be pro-criminal? Let's keep everyone with a drivers license out, we'll reduce DUI's....O.L.  (Jan 24, 2013 | post #3)

Your values must not include learning the errors of history. It's not about values, it's about the direction they want to go. Thinking the proposals are common sense , they are dangling a carrot and you're falling for it. At least our state is better than many, if they get away allowing such laws one place, they'll be adapted in others. That's why we came down so hard on Mayor Alborn, so other Mayors wouldn't try it. Squash the bugs before they breed and before the sheep get used to it. Compromise? In 1960, no back ground checks, no waiting periods, no "registration ", you could mail order guns and get delivery to your door. We built gun stocks in shop class (1970) which required bringing the guns into school. Half the cars/trucks in the high school parking lot had guns in them. And no one shot any body ever. The only thing that has changed is progressive politics/control, human nature hasn't.....O.L.  (Jan 21, 2013 | post #115)
