How much are you paying to fill up?

$33 for a 95 Neon that is getting around 33 MPG. I drive 27 miles one way everyday from NPR to Largo.  (Jun 6, 2008 | post #15)

DUI offenders beware

I don't relish the thought of waking up next to someone that I would rather chew my arm off than risk wakeing her so that I can leave quietly. And with the number of STD's out there it's just not worth it.  (Jun 4, 2008 | post #30)

DUI offenders beware

Ahh, the old "I'm not as think as you drunk I am" defense. If law enforcement and the corts would stop letting potential murders go free then the attitude towards drinking and getting behind the wheel would change. EVERY person that takes a drink and then gets behind the wheel is a potential murderer. it has been told time after time that drinking inhibits your judgement, so they've been warned, yet they intentionally chose to drive. if they are involved in an accident and there is injury or death, the charge should reflect that they intentionally drove with alcohol in their system and the sentence should be tougher.  (Jun 4, 2008 | post #29)

"My daughter was bullied"

what the heck are you talking about? if there was a report that one participant of the YMCA was bullying or pushing or anything like that and the YMCA did nothing about it, they should be held responsible. I personally would have walked into the office of the person in charge and had a little sit-down and laid it on the line to them. if they still did not want to do anything about it, I would call the police and file charges against the YMCA, the pansey that thought I would just let it drop and the parents of the kids involved. the persons from YMCA that did nothing about this and told the mother not to have her child return need to find another job. as for parent thinking, I have taken on schools systems in Indiana and here in Florida. I have had my share of conferences with Principals that though I would just roll over and take it. I have no problem confronting these types that just ignore letters of protest. I get right in their face and force them to listen and take action. Fortunately my youngest leaves for the Navy 2 months after she graduates so I won't have to make any more trips to straighten out the school administration. In this case the YMCA is responsible because they have agreed to care for the children not let them run wild. YMCA should have removed the instigators not the victim. YMCA should have provided an incident report and investigative findings.  (May 28, 2008 | post #26)

"My daughter was bullied"

get it straight, she sent 4 letters, the latter ones indicating the possibility of a suit. she started by asking for an investigation and got no response. The YMCA is using the old Ostrich trick of ignore the problem and it will go away. but it didn't so they told the 'trouble maker' to go away. but that didn't work either. the YMCA has a duty to provide safety for the children in their care. if they do not take violence against a child seriously then they deserve to be taken to court for neglect.  (May 28, 2008 | post #6)

Daycare to be fined after field trip fiasco

totally different situation. the school bus is designed for that number of passengers. the van they used was being overloaded more than 2 times the capacity. then when a second van arrives it was discovered no one had a valid license. it had to be known about the license issue at the time they were hired. one had a learners permit.  (May 22, 2008 | post #11)

Duct taped hotel room doors panic kids

these parents need to find something else to complain about because this complaint just does not hold water. High School kids afraid that some duct tape on a door would keep them in, do these students ride the short bus to school? from the sound of it the parent's are the ones that rode the short bus.  (May 20, 2008 | post #1)
