Yesterday We Japanese had a holiday called Labor Thanksgiving Day same as yours (23rd Nov : a Happy monday) though, No Party, Not meeting with family, No big turkey and pecan pies. Hi shooting_star : ) I have been wondering since I'd heard the meaning in Italian. I already knew the meaning which JON had said on TV. Because, I read an interview in magazine 20 years ago. JON said that " Bongiovi " ( real last name ) means　l ike ' buono ' and giovi ( I don't remember well though JON said his father taught him the meaning ) like giovi-ta. So, put them together, BON JOVI means ' Good Life ' so on " ...giovita?? I also couldn't get it clearly. I thought it would maybe coinage or something. I had no idea of Italian. Where the " ta " came from? I was a teenager then, so that I acted flexibly. Then I looked into 'giovi' in dictionary. I found close to the word only " giovedì means Thursday " ( Am I right? ) So then I believed that Thursday might had been a good day for Italian . . . LOL. Vita means life. . .
