Marmol aiming to regain control

In a real-life version of "Dave", word has it that Marmol will secretly take over the Presidency if Barack Osama wins and decides to stay away from the White House like he has the Senate building.  (Jun 26, 2008 | post #3)

Time ticking for Bulls to make No. 1 pick in NBA Draft

Exactly, in his first year, Jordan basically had to play 1 on 5 against every other team that year and he still averaged way over 20 points that year. Granville Waiters- yech! It took 3 more years to get Pippen and Grant and then things started to turn.  (Jun 26, 2008 | post #13)

Cubs get back on winning track vs. Orioles

Let's set the record straight on Bedard. Inside info has it that MacFail (sic) let him go because the guy can't throw more than 75 pitches in a game and wanted too much money beyond his talent. I still say you talk to the Reds, as they are going nowhere other than shaking hands with the Pirates, about trading for Aaron Harang, who would dominate at Wrigley.  (Jun 26, 2008 | post #33)

Cubs get back on winning track vs. Orioles

Don't forget to put Neal Sedaka Cotts in the mix, too. Batters salivate at his no movement fastball. It comes down to the bullpen being Wood, Marmol, sometimes Eyre, and the sadly forgotten Lieber. But if we continue to win games by 4 or more runs, we can gamble on putting garbage out there in the 7th and/or 8th innings.  (Jun 26, 2008 | post #32)

Cubs get back on winning track vs. Orioles

Nah, we do m ore manly things here like play first base in a 16 inch softball game especially when you are in the field first. Try that, you wimp!  (Jun 26, 2008 | post #31)

Cubs top Padres, but some cracks showing -- Major League Baseball

There has to be a better back-up infielder than Cedeno in the organization. He has no baseball iq. So, he got lucky earlier this year and had a few timely hits. Big deal- he kills you in the field. How many times has he had trouble picking up a throw from the outfield to relay to another player? How many times has he been thrown out because he stupidly does not think when he slides? Last year he was picked off first base twice in one inning- the first time didn't count because something weird happened. The list goes on.  (Jun 4, 2008 | post #46)

Cubs on record pace for wins at Wrigley -- Major League Basebal...

I look at it as the Michael Barrett blessing. Ever since The Z Man slugged the lousy catcher in the 3rd base dugout, the Cubs have been doing well at home.  (Jun 2, 2008 | post #8)

Cubs beat Rockies for sixth straight win -- Major League Baseball

Relax- he had pitched almost every day this week and he really needs a day off. He'll be fine.  (Jun 1, 2008 | post #38)

At Wrigley Field, focus finally on the game -- Fashion Trends, ...

Didn't you read the sign here that said " **** keep out!"? I suppose all the idiots holding a phone to their ear while driving are Cub fans, too? Send this guy to re-education camp!  (Jun 1, 2008 | post #12)

I feel for the parents of the Israeli soldiers who were returned in boxes. But, I never would deal with the devil and the towel-head hezbollah animals are.  (Jun 1, 2008 | post #3)

Doug Collins could be next Bulls coach

Thanks for the kudos.. But, this just in.. Bulls management are interviewing Tom Dore to coach the big men, Bill Wennington to teach 3 pointers, and Johnny "Red" Kerr to instruct in free-throw shooting underhand. Paxson says that with the hiring of Collins this should complete the retro look. That is, because they haven't figure out what value there is in Stacey You-know-who yelling "freeze" from the sidelines..  (May 29, 2008 | post #61)
