Northmont Levy

I urge all Englewood residents to go to: www.noschoollevyno w.com and find out some additional information on the levy. This has nothing to do with education and is a terrible deal for already strapped tax payers.  (Oct 21, 2011 | post #2)

Northmont Levy

How many of you know that there are 10 existing Northmont levies you are paying for in your property taxes? How many of you know that for a $100,000 home, your annual total "contribution " to the schools will be nearly $1500.00? How many of you know that, per the School strategic plan, enrollment will be down in the High School ~280 students by the time the buildings are built - yet they claim overcrowding? How many of you know that the district is down nearly $1.4M because of devaluation of our home values and changes in the state allotment? With or without a new building, doesnt this signal yet another levy next year? Schools are important, but is there no limit to what we must pay? Why is the only solution sought one that involves a new building?  (Oct 12, 2011 | post #1)

Election Poll, Sept 2011 - Englewood, OH

The current administration has destroyed the economy, ignored the Constitution and is completely unequipped to handle the problems facing this nation. I voted for Romney, but my real vote will be for Herman Cain  (Oct 12, 2011 | post #1)

Northmont School Levy

Now is Not the time for this levy. - The economy is too unstable --- Housing values down --- Food, energy, healthcare costs rising for all --- Unemployment/Under employment hitting many in the community - We already pay for 10 Northmont School levies in our property taxes, with a big increase coming just last year. --- Montgomery County Treasurer shows Northmont has the highest millage of any neighboring school district ALREADY - The schools want to keep up with other districts with pretty new buildings --- $98M building project in this economy? --- Enrollment is already down >10%, so how is overcrowding an issue? --- The magic state funds come with strings and account for only 1/3 of the total project costs (34/98) We have to defeat the levy www.noschoollevyno w.com has even more information  (Sep 20, 2011 | post #1)
