Accident details emerging

How sad! My heart goes out to them. I will be praying for the family. I read in another article that the community came together to raise enough money to get them home. I am wondering if that includes little Kevin. I lost loved ones to an accident in another state and we had to come up with the money to transport them back. It is not cheap. I know with all the family is going through, it would be nice if they didn't have to worry about coming up with the money to get him home.  (Aug 11, 2009 | post #2)

Author David Pelzer delivers message to Reeths-Puffer stu...

I don't think you can ever truly "get over it" but I think things need to be worked through so you can get on with your life. I have heard the phrase "a new reality" - which talks of the way things are after something happens (death of a loved one, tragic event, abuse, etc.). I also agree with a comment above. What teens go through may seem trivial to adults, but that is because adults have more experience with life. Teens are just learning some of the more difficult lessons of life and what could seem small to us are tremendous to them. It does no one any good to ignore problems - whether an adult's, teen's or a child's. We each have our own set of problems and each is just as big to us. Learning to work through these problems each step of the way is best, and we are changed by them. There is no going back! I am sorry to hear of David's attitude - I really enjoyed his books and still think they are useful, but I have no desire to meet him now... I hope his attitude changes for the best.  (Aug 7, 2009 | post #7)

why should i become an Marine?

Deer Hunter has it right. The more you change all at once, the harder it is to keep going. To make it a routine, change one or two things and then add something each week or so. Now if I can only take that  (Jul 8, 2009 | post #29)

why should i become an Marine?

acrazya, No matter what you decide, base it on information. The Marines are a fine outfit. It is true: Once a Marine, always a Marine! You can choose college before, during, or after. There are benefits to each choice, so it depends on which direction you are going. For more information, talk to a recruiter, a career counselor (or high school counselor or college counselor), and do some research on the internet. I would suggest all three for the best information. Hope this helps.  (Jul 6, 2009 | post #14)

help for baby caiden

How sad! I am praying for Caiden. Poor baby. It is so sad that he will have to deal with this when he gets better and older. I have heard what was written here and am not in a position to judge because any one can type anything - truth or lie. I do pray for what is best for Caiden and hope that things work out for his parents.  (Jun 20, 2009 | post #6)

Thief at Porter Walmart

I agree! Someone could probably be able to identify him. I was always taught there is nothing worse than a thief, especially one who preys on the elderly. I hope they find him quickly before anyone else gets hurt.  (Jun 16, 2009 | post #3)

Huntsville woman murdered, husband in custody

First, let me tell you that that was a very intelligent comment! I am sure that those close to the situation were really worried about that. Now to the ones that were close to those involved: My thoughts and prayers are with you. This is a sad situation. There is a little girl that has had so much taken away from her. I am so sad for her. I am also sad for the family and friends of those involved.  (Jun 16, 2009 | post #3)

I agree. I love to feel my music, but I don't want to feel everyone else's. I can't stand it when I feel the boom in my head and can't enjoy the music.  (Jun 2, 2009 | post #61)

Flood warning for local waterways

How sad!!! I guess I must be all those horrible things you mentioned too, Hezekiah. I, too, want the government to do the job we, as taxpayers, pay them to do. When you have a job, DO IT!!! If it is your job to make sure the drains are clear so it is safer for the public and there is less flooding, DO IT!!! As a home owner, I make sure my ditches are clear so the water will flow freely. I am unable to get out a chainsaw and clear everyone's ditches and the drain pipes because I have a job which keeps me busy. That is why taxpayers PAY people to do it. Now, when they don't do their job - I feel it is my right to complain. That is what I hear Red Dawn saying to the flood control: JUST DO YOUR JOB!!!  (Apr 29, 2009 | post #12)
