I want to thank the 4 of you for loving our city enough to get the corrupted out of office (and there was several)..... your hard work IS NOT going unappreciated .... I promise! There are alot of us behind you so PLEASE don't give up because the Waldens and their friends are wanting you to do just that. Preece and Watkins, just a reminder .... it DOES NOT pay to do things the "Walden Way". You can't expect there to be two sets of rules ..... 1 set for your buddies and the other set for your non-friends. Otherwise, you will be voted out of office like Sonya was.  (Feb 17, 2012 | post #1)

who you want to be a commissioner

Donald, it's not a problem of you being forward... You have a problem with the truth. Same bullshit as the Waldens, I guess you couldn't handle the anticipation of getting voted out with the other trash ... that's the real reason you quit. And as a citizen, I (nor my family or neighbors) owe you a damned thing. Remember that!  (Dec 8, 2011 | post #5)

"for the good of the city"

Eventhough, I really enjoy hearing about communities (and neighbors) helping others in need ..... I really don't like hear someone patting theirselves on the back after announcing to the world by saying "I did this, I did this" and expect something in return ... just saying. And, I find it more disturbing that "Sherry" and "work for life" ARE the same person as been proven in previous posts on other Niota topics. W-E-I-R-D  (Jun 30, 2011 | post #13)

Commissioner Youngs needs to be investigated

so, "who cares", does this mean you are saying that Niota has to be ran by corrupted people in order to grow? oh yeah, I forgot, your earlier statement stating that "the voters are dumba$$e$". Starting to smell like Walden in here again, LOL. anyways, our town needs to ran with stability and honesty AND everybody has to follow the same rules no matter who you know and/or blow.  (Feb 18, 2011 | post #8)

Commissioner Youngs needs to be investigated

it was never said that the employee "wasn't" on the clock either. AND, for it to be discussed at the meeting, it would mean the employee would have had to been on the clock because otherwise the commissioners wouldn't have mentioned it to start with. If this employee had done this on his/her own personal time, then the commissioner(s) would have no right to discuss this at the meeting because they would have been overstepping their boundaries AND it would be considered non-city business. just sayin' But, on the otherhand, we are talking about Niota LOL ..... a few don't neccesarily do things on the up and up.  (Feb 17, 2011 | post #6)

accusations against Commissioner Rutledge

I believe the majority of the towns folks are really starting to see and care about what is going on in Niota.  (Feb 17, 2011 | post #17)

Commissioner Youngs needs to be investigated

if "something " is picked up by a city employee while on the clock (being paid by the city taxes) then it's city property / responsibility at that point. if the employee wants to use the scrap for personal gain then they should only pick it up when they are off the clock.  (Feb 17, 2011 | post #4)

Commissioner Youngs needs to be investigated

Youngs has acknowledged that an employee has taken city property for personal financial gain. Did Youngs (or anyone on the board, besides Rutledge) suggest to investigate who allowed the employee to take that property? **NO** Was it Youngs himself that allowed the illegal transaction? **??**, but he did know about it and didn't correct or punish the city employee. What did city attorney Pope suggest regarding this matter? **absolutely nothing** Aren't we as tax paying citizens paying for his services?  (Feb 16, 2011 | post #1)

accusations against Commissioner Rutledge

I sure do hope so. And, I think the accusers need to be held accountable by law AND by the voting citizens for any false statements.  (Feb 9, 2011 | post #9)
