Obama pledges to tackle gun violence after Colorado killing

I use my AR15 for protection and for hunting. btw an AR15 is not an "assault weapon" they do not have select fire capability witch is the deffinition of an assault rifle. the assault weapons ban really? couple things there. one they are not assault weapons (not select fire) two total gun crime in the US involving black rifles is under 2%. three of all the mass shootings 2-3.8% involved "assault weapons". Do you even know how the government defines an "assault weapon"? it must be semi auto, accept a detachable magazine and have 2 or more of the following. 1. folding or telescoping stock (makes no difference in the guns performance) 2. pistol grip ( again makes no difference in the guns performance)3. bayonet mount (who the **** uses a bayonet?) 4. flash suppressor, or threads to attach one (this only helps to stay on target/ hide some of the muzzle flash) 5. grenade launcher (cant even get them legally). of all that 1 thing actually improves performance. why are they defined this way? Bc in reality they are no different than any semi auto hunting rifle. in fact they are multiple times less powerful. basically it comes down to "oh that looks scary" they even had picuters back in the 90's of an ar15 rifle that said "bad gun" and a semi auto hunting rifle many times more powerful that said "good gun". so that they could say oh we just want bad guns to go away. no gun is a bad gun, no gun is evil, people are evil, bad, insane ect. durring the ban in the 90's you could still walk into a gun store and buy an ar15. they simple didnt have the things listed about. thats it, nothing more, nothing less. the ar15 platform is one of the most versitile on the planet, easy caliber changes for hunting, protection ect. one last thing, many believe that AR15 stands for "assault rifle" or "army rifle" it in fact stands for Armalite rifle the company that first produced it.  (Jul 27, 2012 | post #190)

Drinking Age - Fort Bragg, NC

i remember being 16 and having no problem getting beer. they are going to get it no matter what the law says. 18 is old enough to enter a legal contract, join the army, buy a house get married ect. but not old enough to drink a beer. hell in alot of states 16 is the age of consent for sex, where they can get pregnant, stds ect. but cant drink a beer. retarded.  (Jul 22, 2012 | post #2)

Gun Control - Fort Bragg, NC

criminals do not follow laws. cities with the strictest gun laws often have the highest crime rates. when the concealed carry law passed in OH crime was down the next year.  (Jul 22, 2012 | post #2)
