You have GOT to be kidding me. Since when did the term "illegal alien" become racist???? What are we suppposed to call them?  (Dec 28, 2011 | post #27)

What church is the best?

Yes the "core" beliefs are pretty much the same with most denominations. It seems to be the acts of worship and the method of salvation where we differ. Music in worship, how often we partake communion, and baptism are the most dabatable subjects.  (Dec 27, 2011 | post #90)

If I may ask you a question without ruffling your feathers? :) You say "what difference does it matter what church you go to?" What do you think Christ meant when he stated the following? "There is ONE Church" "They worship me with their lips but their hearts are far from me." "Teaching for doctrine the commandments of men." "Vain worship." Im really not trying to put you on the spot or anything. Im just curious as to how you would explain these verses IF, and I repeat IF Christ settled for "just any church" Thanks. :)  (Dec 27, 2011 | post #89)

Can a Christian fall from Grace?

It really is a lot to consider. I have a friend that believes with all her heart that once a person "gets saved" they can live their life anyway they want, even murder and still go to Heaven. She believes that once you are saved then your "ticket is punched" so to say. Nothing in the Bible supports that. Even one of Christ's own 12 "fell from grace" and was lost.  (Dec 27, 2011 | post #16)

Can a Christian fall from Grace?

I can't answer that one for you. I believe, according to the Bible teaching, there ARE "things" we must do to be saved. After all, each new convert in the NT asked that question: "What must I "do" to be saved?" I feel that if you follow God's commandments; ie Repent of your past sins, confess the name of Christ and submit to him in water baptism, THEN live faithfully to him the remainder fo your life, YOU WILL BE SAVED in the end. Please don't misunderstand me. NO ONE can live a perfect, sinless life. Christ's blood and grace DOES save us IF we submit to the will of God and live as he wants us to. In fact, that continual cleansing by his blood is what keeps us "perfect " in his sight. BUT, if one turns their back and goes back into that former life of sin, then yes, they CAN and WILL lose that salvation.  (Dec 27, 2011 | post #15)

UHm No I disagree. We all sin. If we say we have no sin, we call God a liar. I feel there is a huge difference in sin and turning one's back on God or "falling from grace. Just my humble opinion.  (Dec 27, 2011 | post #14)

Also, PLEASE don't use that "homosexualit y is not a choice" argument because it does NOT fly. Every homosexual that I have ever met DECIDED to be one later in life. Homosexuality IS INDEED a sin....  (Dec 26, 2011 | post #69)

3.) Romans 1:26-27 "For this cause, God did give them up to vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise even the men, leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust towards one another" Lust is a sin. Homosexuals don't have to lust. Also, this is God's punishment on them for sin they had committed, that is clearly stated. They were heterosexuals, who suddenly lusted after their own sex, possible losing attraction for those they loved. Nowhere does it say "Homosexualit y is wrong." 4.) I Corinthians 6: 9 - 10 This verse lists unrighteous acts, and in some translations, homosexuality is mentioned. In the KJV, it says "fornicators ". Some translators wrote "homosexuals ". The literal translation from greek is "permiscuous men". Putting in the word "homosexual " is a real stretch there. Aside from these verses, the Bible doesn't really have a whole lot to say about homosexuality. Sex is clearly defined as sacred, and something that joins two individuals together. Having sex with more than one person is wrong. Marriage is not restricted to heterosexuals. It doesn't matter what the government says, God does need government permission to recognize marriage, the permanent union of two people. I have thrown out any arguments against homosexuality, so my theory stands. Sin is a choice, homosexuality is not. God loves everone, and he will save anyone who loves him in return, accepting the Salvation that His Son has offered through the cross. WRONG. You cannot twist the words of God to suit your wants. Anyone with HALF a brain can see what these verses are talking about. Also, where in the WORLD do you get that "anyone who loves God back will be saved.??" That is NO WHERE to be found in his word.  (Dec 26, 2011 | post #68)

Again..... WRONG! Judging someone is NOT a sin. I have no idea where people get that. The lone verse "Judge not less ye be judged." I guess. Take the verse in its context and look at all the others that tell us to "JUDGE RIGHTEOUSLLY.  (Dec 26, 2011 | post #67)
