Chief are No Chief

Preacher from God last until their assignment is complete. Self-made and man-made preachers and/or leaders last until the last dollar is collected. There is a difference( Don't get it twisted).  (Jul 9, 2012 | post #3)

Removed the pathetic Town officials

Well, if Mr. Steve is the only solution, then why did he leave Montgomery with problems instead of leaving the town with a surplus and prosperity? I can honestly say about every other year I read in the Colfax Chronicle that Montgomery has gotten a grant for $900,000 or $1,000,000 or a similar figure that is to fix the water issue. Honestly, what in sam hill is wrong with the water system if it needs a million dollar fix every year? Also, even though I am sure these are accomplished through different streams of revenue, but why can the town not ever get a million dollar grant to fix all the roads? Especially the road in front of the old McManus Logging, Co, Dunn Rd and E. Lewis Rd. Patch work is not going to cut the mustard, it needs repair. Also I would love for the Town of Montgomery to partner with the stakeholders of the virtual defunct Montgomery Community Center (formerly Montgomery Gaines Jr. High) and revamp it and utilize it for summer programs, after school programs and senior citizen activities among other things. Speaking of which a meeting need to be held and dismiss the current board of the community center and elect a new board and solicit new funding and implement accountability measures that eliminate nepotism and fiscal mismanagement. That is all for now, I am sure I will have more to say later.  (Jul 9, 2012 | post #25)

Removed the pathetic Town officials

Crazy Sam must be the happiest resident in Montgomery, LA! LOL. Personally, I've lived in Montgomery from 1984-2002. I can honestly say that every town has it's issues, especially small towns, but incompetence has to come to an end. I am not going to come on here and degrade anyone and be malicious, but I will say that if there is a problem with the town leadership (which it obviously is) then at the very least, an emergency town meeting should occur. This should bring some clarity and closure to some pertinent and pressing issues and initiate an action plan for others. If this does not work or is not feasible, then an investigation by the AG's office would be warranted and next order of business would be the petition to recall the mayor and whoever else that was elected. Now, with that being said, you must take a moment and consider who will be a viable and competent person to take on the mayoral position? Montgomery has the potential to be a great town. I believe it! The main thing is the citizens of the town need to pray and seek the Lord. Ask God, to save the town and restore it. Ask Him to put someone in position that is after His heart.  (Jul 2, 2012 | post #20)

chief of police

If Mayor Waters is doing such an atrocious job then why not begin the process to have her impeached? If the Pastor at NBC is leading the flock astray then why not approach the Board of Deacons/Trustees to replace him (that is what Baptists do, right? Hire their preachers?). Did any of you who are complaining make a bid to run for mayor yourselves? If Ms. Waters decides to step down or is impeached, who (in the minds of you righteous citizens) is competent, capable, and of moral and civic virtue to replace her? Anxious to read the replies...  (Mar 21, 2012 | post #16)

Worthless fathers

Why would you ask this question? Just be thankful for those who are great fathers and pray for those who need to man up.  (Nov 20, 2011 | post #2)

Okay, well I stand corrected. I apologize. But driving city transit in Alexandria isn't the worst job a person can take. Anyway, I digress.  (Nov 2, 2011 | post #10)
