San Felipe-Del Rio CISD Is Overdue For A Change For The B...

You are exactly right. I think this administration has gotten away with many things, and left the public in the dark about many different events. There are others cases of what I would call abuses. One of the most damaging factors for the parents and students is we are in a remote area far from the agencies (Austin & Dallas) which enforce many of the laws, and policies that govern our district. They have an attitude similar to "Catch Me If You Can" I feel there are too many abuses, but not enough reporting of these abuses. My mission is to help expose these perceived abuses by the district. I hope to inspire some of the people who know of any abuses, or who feel they have been abused by the district. I would hope some of the good teachers would help out to report anything which needs to be reported to the proper authorities. Any abuses need to be reported to the police, sheriff, US Department Of Education, or TEA. Reporting to the media in San Antonio could help with certain cases also. Reporting here locally will get you little help, if any.  (Aug 26, 2013 | post #3)

San Felipe-Del Rio CISD Is Overdue For A Change For The B...

School has just begun and there are many people dissatisfied with the district, and its tactics, and lack of response to the students and parents. There is even talk about a young student who wandered out of school, but wasn't seen or missed by staff. If you are tired of the chaos, click on the link! Here is a link to help bring an end to some of the problems which you may have experienced in the past, or if you have problems during this school year. Don't be abused by these administrators. Tack action or you just may become their next victim. http://san-felipe- del-rio-cisd-buzz. blogspot.com/2013/ 05/san-felipe-del- rio-cisd-school-di strict.html  (Aug 26, 2013 | post #1)

Part 2 Questions Remain About Fake Posting (Gun At Calderon)

I assume they are not happy readers of this blog, and would like to get rid of me however they can. Bashing them over this fake gun story just might do the trick! So it is my belief. I do however attempt to verify any fact I post, and wouldn't write about a gun in the schools, and the ignorance of the staff unless I could verify it really happened. As a result of what I presume to be a fake story about the gun in the school, I have some questions to point at the school district, and assistant principal Dr. Talamantez. Was there a student who was found to have a gun in the school? What happened to the student? Why weren't all parents notified promptly if it was true? If this fake gun story actually was a fake story, I have some additional questions. Did school officials alert the police about this posting? Were any laws broken as a result of this posting? Dr. Talamantez has been accused of possibly breaking laws which have to do with a fiduciary duty of reporting certain acts within a school zone. She has been accused by this poster of having done nothing about this student with a gun. Since there wasn't a gun and this whole story was a fake, the poster has libeled himself/herself. This person has publicly, and falsely accused you of committing a crime. Are there any actions to find or subpoena this Topix website to get the IP address of this imposter poster? Do you plan on locating this poster in an effort to learn what motive there was to have posted this story? Would any staff of the school district willingly post a false story about a bad/lame administration for the sole purpose and slim chance of "baiting " me as a blogger in hopes that I would "run with the story"? If so, it would show without a doubt what I believe is an administration which doesn't care about their reputation, I feel for them, it is more important to concentrate with their retaliation tactics in an attempt to quiet people who speak the truth, ask questions, and would like to change the district for the better. A good nickname for them could be "The untouchables" It is because we as the people of this school district allow, and permit them to be untouchable. Only time will tell if any answers are provided. Please help me validate or invalidate my conspiracy theory. Demanding answers to these questions from San Felipe-Del Rio Cisd Administration. Spreading this blog post to your friends & classmates via social media could help speed up any answers that may be given. Fake Posting? Gun At Calderon-Sparks Questions Who? Why? ...

Part 1 Of 2 Parts My San Felipe-Del Rio Cisd Conspiracy Theory, Topix-Del Rio Forum Posting (Gun At Calderon Elementary School) In a world of never ending conspiracy theories, I have my own thoughts about a posting I found on a website called Topix-Del Rio Forum. I'm asking my readers to help spread this blog posting to your friends, & classmates, and other parents of students via social media. We need to get to the bottom of this presumed fake Topix posting about a gun in our schools. The original poster stated basically that his son discovered a fellow classmate at Calderon Elementary School in Del Rio, Texas had a gun. When his son attempted to alert staff about the gun in the school, they didn't believe him and didn't investigate any further until other students also alerted the staff. The father of the student, who in the posting "acts" as if he is concerned about the incident and how staff had first ignored his son's pleas to staff about a student possessing a gun. The father who again is "acting" concerned in the posting stated he called the school to ask assistant principal Dr. Talamantez about this incident. No immediate answer-they would contact him later. After waiting all day, the poster stated Dr. Talamantez finally returned the call, but couldn't offer any information. The poster gave the impression that school administration, and Dr. Talamantez didn't care about a student with a gun in the classroom. Poster stated the student who had the gun wasn't even suspended. Poster further stated that he went to the superintendent's office, and called the police. There is a funny resemblance to this outrageous posting or story by this "concerned parent". It resembles my first problems I encountered with the San Felipe-Del Rio Cisd Administration. I imagine school officials aren't very fond of this blog which is intended to draw attention to how poorly run this school district handles many events. You might say their customer service needs a major revamp (to put it lightly!) (Grades Scores Too!!!) It is my belief that this was a fake story to provoke me to publish another blog about my disgust for the "lame duck" administration. I also believe they are aware I am a reader of Topix-Del Rio Forum. Occasionally I get information from the site which the school seems to want to keep a secret, or keep out of the spotlight. A prime example would be the blogs I have written about the fire at Del Rio High School. News of the fire had been posted on Topix, but it was never reported in the local newspaper The Del Rio News Herald. The evacuation which was said to have been a disaster in itself also wasn't reported. Another example would be the grade tampering incident which occurred last year at the high school. It had been posted on Topix. I wrote a blog about it, and nearly a week later after I wrote the blog, it was published in the newspaper that there was a grade tampering incident, but nothing more was ever reported. I'm still wondering what happened with that. Look For Part 2 On Topix  (Apr 29, 2013 | post #1)

BEWARE OF!!!!!! Chavira Principal Jose Perez

RUBEN CHAVIRA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARENTS BEWARE OF YOUR NEW PRINCIPAL JOSE PEREZ!! I would like to warn all parents of students of Chavira school in San Felipe-Del Rio CISD to be careful of your new principal. He had been one of the subjects involved in a federal complaint to the Department Of Education. The dept. had found prima facie evidence to initiate an investigation into possible wrongdoing by this principal, and others in the administration. As it turned out, their investigation came up short, and no charges were filed as a result of their probe. Is it my imagination, that school officials alway promote the the wrong people to better positions? I did have many conversations with this sad example of an assistant principal when he previously worked at Del Rio High School. He is a back stabber, and what I mean by that is he will tell you one thing, and the very next day he will do a 360 degree turn and tell you something completely different. To put it in very clear language he is a lier who wouldn't tell the truth looking me square in the eye. Im aware that the parents of the students in this school had high hopes that this principal would be better than the last principal. I don't like to be the messenger of bad news, but I don't believe his presence will help to improve the climate of this grade school which in recent years has taken a downward turn from it's previous status as the best school in Del Rio. My very negative experiences with Mr. Jose Perez, and others in the administration, is the primary reason why I withdrew my kids out of the public schools. No parent should have to tolerate the abuses I endured which also included retaliation against my kids and myself which included threats of my arrest on multiple occasions by this administration which was totally against my asking questions to them. If you should have any questions or concerns you wish to ask to the schools, you may ask them in person, but you probably won't get a straight answer from any officials. May I suggest you ask them in an email, which would leave a trail of your concerns. Then if an incident occures, those same officials cannot act stupid, or uninformed. You will have proof that you did infact inform them of your concerns, and also ask them to answer your concerns via email, or to put their answers in writing. Do not under any circumstance take their word that your situation will be handled to your benefit unless it is in writing. They are not trustworthy. Any formal complaints you may have should be forwarded to The Department Of Education for evaluation. You can ask them about your situation by filling out a form online, or by calling them on the phone. They are located in Dallas, Tx. Only by speaking up will there be any chance to stop the nonsense. If you can afford it, I always recommend one of the private schools here in Del Rio as an alterative. This public school system should be avoided at all costs.  (Dec 18, 2012 | post #1)

Mass Shooting In Elementary School-A Sad Day

Yet another mass shooting has occured, the second one this week. Unfortunately this time it happened in an elementary school. At last report, 20 innocent children, and 7 adults have been senselessly killed. One of those adults killed was at another location, but it is suspected to have been commited by the same shooter. It is a sad day, and my prayers go out to all of the persons who lost their lives, and their families.  (Dec 14, 2012 | post #1)

While you may be parcially right, did you ever think that school administration is not always innocent of intentionally causing trouble. I also believe there could be some wasting of our tax dollars in the administration. The administration sure wasted a lot of time, and money messing around with my family. I guess they have a surplus in their budget!  (Aug 18, 2012 | post #44)

My problems started when I directed some questions to San Felipe-Del Rio CISD Administration. They thought that was "silly". A parent asking questions in Del Rio Schools is thought of as being "silly".  (Aug 18, 2012 | post #43)

I was attacked by the district as a whole. I say that because many officials participated together. I asked many different officials, including the board for help with the situation. Not one single employee, official, or administrator offered any type of answer, remedy, absolutely nothing in response to my questions, or complaints. The ENTIRE San Felipe-Del Rio Cisd Administration are lame ducks, good for nothing, dangerous to the entire student body, and need a good boot in the you know what! I am not the attacker. What I am doing is responding to having been attacked, and also publicising my opinions, & experiences about these morons.  (Jun 28, 2012 | post #21)

Your first words -"I AM A TEACHER AND I BELIEVE THAT MOST OF THE STUFF ON HERE COULD BE VALID BECAUSE i KNOW SOME ADMINISTRATORS CAN BE A PROBLEM". You as a teacher, are aware of the problems these officials create. (Your own basic words) I, as a parent am also aware of the many problems officials have created, or "invented ". They are dangerous people, and are not the right people to be running a school system. They are potentially damaging the futures of our students. That is not something I will keep quiet about. It is also too bad if certain people don't like my postings. If our district had respectable officials, I wouldn't have to post. You as a teacher should be starting that change, or are you scared of retaliation, or "conspiracy ".  (Jun 26, 2012 | post #17)

You seem to have some of your facts wrong. 4th graders do not go to Del Rio High School. You also said the administration has lots of business to take care of, and very little time to take care of it. That statment of yours is preposterous & ignorant. They have plenty of time to harass their targets. Tell me if waiting outside with 2-way radios for my kid to arrive at school, then filling out paperwork, and sending the kid home for no reason but to attempt to anger me, and harass us is not wasting time. I don't have enough space, or time to describe all of the time that this administration had on their hands to play games.  (Jun 23, 2012 | post #12)

My problems were at Buena Vista, & the high school. It was when I contacted the administration office that the bigger problems started. The school principal, and teachers (at Buena Vista) had ignored my concerns but didn't retaliate. After being ignored, I went to the administration, and then began to experience the retaliation. I filed a complaint with the Dept. Of Education, and would you believe they still continued their antics. They are very arrogant people, and are a danger to targeted students. If you are not their target, you may not have nothing to worry about. We (myself included) were their target because we complained. I saw no need to put my kids at any further risk with them clowns, so we have withdrawn them from the system.  (Jun 22, 2012 | post #6)
