John Kasich Dodges Question on - Conversion Ther...

As the Governor of Ohio, I cannot believe that he did not know about Leelah Alcorn. It was all over the Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati papers.  (Apr 12, 2016 | post #2)

FDA eases restrictions on blood donations from gay men

The ban should have been lifted all together. The new rule prevents men that are in legal marriages or long time committed relationships from donating blood. That blood would be almost 100% free of the HIV virus since those individuals would know their status and normally would not be "sleeping around".  (Dec 22, 2015 | post #1)

US Catholic bishops focused on marriage, religious liberty

Somebody needs to tell the Bishops that they have no control over the Constitution. Same Gender Marriage is now the law of the land and they will have to live with that. Ted Cruz also has said that he would overturn the decision if he is elected (which of course is a disaster waiting to happen). The President does not have that power!!!! The founding fathers set up the three branches of government so that one branch would not have more power than the other.  (Nov 17, 2015 | post #3)

Houston equal rights measure in hands of voters

The No on 1 folk and their fear mongering is another case of a solution waiting for a problem. No ordinance is going to make it easier for a non-Gay man to disguise himself as a woman and enter a women's restroom. They could do it without the ordinance if it was in their sick mind to do it. This proves that conservative folk in Houston will believe anything because their minds are clouded in hate and homophobia.  (Nov 4, 2015 | post #35)

Houston equal rights measure in hands of voters

Now Houston will have the honor of being the largest city without an equal rights ordinance. It further proves what I have said for ages. equal rights should not be subject to a popular vote. The opponents spread fear so it would be defeated. They labeled all MtF transgender individuals sexual predators. You can see that in the sign that he is holding. "No Men in Women's Bathroom". I am afraid that the haters will be emboldened to go to the other cities and try to repeal their equal rights ordinances. There needs to be a Federal Law passed that outlaws all discrimination. Until that happens all LGBTQ individuals will be treated as second class citizens!  (Nov 4, 2015 | post #24)

Carmel passes LGBT anti-discrimination ordinance

How does this ordinance effect all of the trolls that are currently spewing their hatred in this thread? Do they live in Carmel IN?  (Oct 7, 2015 | post #19)

Ballot wording for Houston gay rights ordinance rejected

Equal Rights should NOT be up to the vote of the people. If that were the case, maybe we should vote to see if it is legal to discriminate based on someones Race or Religion. Of course that would never happen. Anyone that proposed that would be labeled a racist. But those individuals that want to vote to see if LGBT individuals should have equal rights, are not afraid to be called homophobic bigots. They wear that badge with honor.  (Aug 19, 2015 | post #1)

Texas court sidelines Houston's nondiscrimination ordinance

Civil Rights should not be up to a vote!!!! There would still be segregation if the Civil Rights Act of 1964 would have been voted on by every state and city. The bigots are upset because their right to hate LGBT individuals was taken away.  (Jul 24, 2015 | post #4)

Fight for gay equality shifts to blood donations

I was in no way talking about "ex-gay" individuals. There is NO such thing! I was talking about gay men who are in long-term monogamous loving relationships. And these men now can get legally married thanks to the recent Supreme Court decision.  (Jul 16, 2015 | post #22)

Fight for gay equality shifts to blood donations

The manager of the Mobile Blood Bank said it best. The one year ban shuts out the men that would be the least likely to have HIV. Those in long time monogamous relationships. The FDA is still rather homophobic. There are several other ways to contract HIV. By the way, contrary to the nasty bigots that are hijacking this news feed, all Gay men are not "disease infested faggots".  (Jul 13, 2015 | post #10)

LGBT activists say the fight doesn't end at marriage

I am getting tired of the hateful bigots (like Cordwainer Trout, lolol and Conroy) hijacking the Gay/Lesbian topix news feed. I guess they have nothing better to do with their lives than to harass LGBT individuals. I wonder if they treat everybody like that since they have so much hate built up inside. I hope that they don't have any close friend or relative that is LGBT. I know that they would not accept them even to the point of kicking them out of their lives.  (Jul 13, 2015 | post #10)

How SCOTUS' Same-Sex Ruling Impacts Couples' Finances

There have been 11 comments to this article. None of them anything to do with it. In fact six of them have been deleted because they are so incendiary. It is too bad that the homophobic haters have nothing better to do than hijack this forum with their hateful comments.  (Jul 9, 2015 | post #12)

Kansas opens state workers' health plan to same-sex spouses

This should not be major news. All employers that offer insurance to married spouses must offer it to same gendered married spouses immediately. Everyone is married regardless if it is same gendered or opposite gendered. Also, if the company or government agency offered insurance to same gendered couples but treated the premium as taxable must now make sure that the premium is not taxable. There is no exception!  (Jul 8, 2015 | post #8)

Official sued in landmark marriage case reads at gay wedding

I found that it was covered in the Cleveland Plain Dealer but not in the Columbus Dispatch. There was also a story back in April (published in the Plain Dealer) where the Governor he would be attending this wedding.  (Jul 4, 2015 | post #19)

Official sued in landmark marriage case reads at gay wedding

What I find the most interesting about this story is that it is not recorded in the newspaper here in Columbus. You would think it would be considered major news based on the irony alone and that the governor was in attendance. Also, there is no mention in the story that it was a civil ceremony. It very well could have been held in a church.  (Jul 4, 2015 | post #8)
