Isolation is 23 hours in a cell with 1 hour out a day. It gets lonely and they will want to try population--they will get what coming to them. Trust me. (Jan 29, 2009 | post #29)
I hope when he gets to prison his next "wife" there is big, mean, hairy and makes him learn to say yes sir and no sir the same way he made that little angel try and learn it before he killed her. I hope his new prison wife tortures him everyday! I cannot even talk about the mother because she makes me so sick! (Jan 28, 2009 | post #18)
I thought the death penalty at first also. In Texas they will be labeled in prison as baby killers and get what they deserve each and every day from their fellow inmates. I bet he does not make it out of prison alive! He will probably wish before it is all over that he was given the death penalty. I hope the female inmates give her some much needed justice also! makes me sick how a serious condition like a seizure disorder comes down to someone like Vince1974 making that kind of comment. The medication alone for this disorder causes a disability--not to mention the disorder itself. It strips you of a lot of dignity and self respect--and as to personal choice as mentioned above---when you can only qualify for group coverage under a HMO because you have this disability that follows you. What rights to treatment do you have? Your stuck with one and ONLY one medical provider! (Dec 17, 2008 | post #40)
Seizure drugs were the fifth best-selling class of drugs in the U.S. last year, with sales over $10 billion, according to pharmaceutical research firm IMS Health. 10 billion in sales made off of anti-seizure medication. What the pharmaceutical companies should be required to do is to disclose all of the side effects of medication and especially how difficult it might be to withdraw off many of these medications that are prescribed for seizures. That is what I found to be the worst side effect of all of the medications I have been prescribed over the years. Ater years of going to the doctor and her first question has always been "do you feel suicidal"? I asked her why she always asked me this? She said it was because all of the medication I was on. I asked her to explain that and she told me to ask my pharmacist for a printout of the possible side effects of my medicine because she did not have time to sit down with me to explain them! Dark Night of the Soul Faith, Family and Friends are the key elements that have kept me going in the last year as I have struggled with adjustments to medications. I appreciate your concern and I know you are right. Without Faith there is nothing out there! (Dec 17, 2008 | post #27)
Don H. of Lake Forest how do you stay focused long enough to even work? I do have a general dr. who tells me all of that. My neuros SUCK--dont say go somewhere else. Insurance does not allow it. This summer I was having a breakdown over medication and went to the ER--an ER doctor asked me if I had ever been told I had PSEUDO seizures. I had never even heard the term before. I said NO. I got so upset thinking that for five long HARD years I had been taking all the medication (expensive topamax) they had prescribed and all along I had something that was not even a real seizure and nobody bothered to tell me that. I left the ER ==they called the police and tried to make me stay. I would not. I quit all my meds that day and needless to say I did not do good and ended up in the hospital for a weeks stay and now I am on even more medication and NOBODY has ever mentioned the word PSEUDO to me again. WHATS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? I hate going to see them. They treat you like a number--like you have no feelings or the ability to think for yourself. Epilepsy is a huge CURSE--I feel bad about hating it because I know it could be a lot worse---but I HATE the medications and I think once you start all of them it is a life long addiction---you cannot ever get off of them! They should tell you this about anti-deppresants, anti-seizure drugs etc. before they prescribe them. It is not fair how they had them out without telling you how addictive they are and the terrible side effects that these drugs have. (Dec 17, 2008 | post #20)
Listen I went back over all the video's for a second time and the best thing to do for poor little Caylee would be to just get rid of her entire family and just start over for her if they ever find her. They are the most messed up people I have ever seen in my entire life and that is no joke!!!! It is like watching or listening to a cartoon--a very EVIL cartoon! Do they really sit around and wonder why their daughter turned out the way she did? FOR REAL? (Jul 22, 2008 | post #213)
I don't know if the Gp's enabled their daughter's behavior or not (if we deny it, we don't have to deal with it). The other sociopaths/psycopa ths I've known-their parents thought they were wonderful too and everyone was picking on their poor child. YeahRight Post #179 I really agreed with all of your comment but the part ABOVE made lots of sense. Her parents do sound like enablers and out of touch with reality as far as their daughter is concerned. They could just be in shock. But I think they have probably spoiled her their entire life and this has created a self centered individual that was not capable of taking care of her child by herself without the help of her parents. Once she got out on her own she discovered that parenting was not as easy as she thought it would be. She left on bad terms and maybe thought she burned her bridges and could not admit defeat--lost her temper and something terrible happened. She snapped--no excuse here. I have three children take extensive drugs for complicated seizures and have to maintain my control and do so everyday of my life. It is not easy but it can be done. I do it without the help from any Grandparents or outside help! I too have encountered so many parents along the way that have that same attitude about their children and many times I have to admit I have had that same feeling towards mine when they have done something wrong. It is a natural thing to want to do as a parent. We just have to choose the degree to which we will protect our children and the circumstances under which we are willing to do so. I am afraid the Anthony's will have to eventually come to this conclusion on their own and it will be a very tough decision for them to make. I feel very sorry for them--it will be a rude awakening for them I am afraid! (Jul 21, 2008 | post #182)
Oh yeah and the Uncle he is sounding more and more like a nut case also! (Jul 20, 2008 | post #172)
I think (Puggysmom) you are totally correct! I would not be surprised if she did not do something like leave Caylee in the car while she partied or something (irresponsible) along that line happened. She has had plenty of time to come up with her elaborate story and plenty of time to whip up lies to cover her tracks and that is why she appears so calm--considering she is also probably also a natural liar. I am not even going to say anything about the Grandparents--what is there to say (Jul 20, 2008 | post #171)
