Is it time for Darcell Grimes to leave WLOS?

Hard to imagine that this thread is almost 4 years old and that means Darcell has STILL been on the air for 4 years longer than she should have been. Enough with the racists comments, though. Totally not necessary and definitely unwanted. Her personality and performance speak for themselves. Her ethnicity is irrelevant.  (Oct 28, 2011 | post #940)

Are the Democrats hurting the country

The president doesn't make the budget, congress does. You want change? Get rid of all the incumbents and elect new senators and representatives. You've got the same crowd in there now that has basically been screwing us for 20 years or better.  (Jul 4, 2009 | post #6)

Obama doing a good job?

Mmmm... not really. Too bad our boys had to die in the process.  (Apr 28, 2009 | post #65)

Scooter insurance mandate scrapped

They didn't want to require the drivers to pay insurance, but they made darn sure they got the revenue from the sale of license tags for the scooters. Greedy **** .  (Apr 10, 2009 | post #4)

Savings afoot: Family-friendly hiking trails are mostly f...

Geocaching is also a good family sport that is like a scavenger hunt using GPS receivers. There are geocaches everywhere and many of them involve a good hike with some beautiful scenery. is a great site for folks that are interested in this. They have all the information you'll need to get you up and going.  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #1)

Ammo shortage continues nationwide

There was no sarcasm intended. My mind just goes back to images of Katrina when you mentioned the two words guns and hurricanes. That's all. I don't think there will be a surplus on the streets like you are saying, though. Guns are way different than other products that are come and go.  (Mar 29, 2009 | post #35)

Towing rules may get tough

Obviously not a good enough scam because I haven't received any government bailout money yet.  (Mar 29, 2009 | post #50)

And they should be punished as a result. It still doesn't give you the right to park where you shouldn't. That was my point.  (Mar 29, 2009 | post #49)

Ammo shortage continues nationwide

The people who had guns during Hurricane Katrina didn't seem to have many problems. Ironic that you used hurricanes as an example.  (Mar 29, 2009 | post #33)

At least their agenda is out in the open and open to questions. Obama gets riled when reporters or anyone else questions ANYTHING he does. Enjoy being a subject.  (Mar 29, 2009 | post #32)

Towing rules may get tough

What you folks aren't getting is that, if you park where you're not supposed to and the OWNER of that property has asked a towing company to tow vehicles parked illegally, then you SHOULD have to pay to get your car back if the towing company has to tow it. They also shouldn't be regulated as far as the type of payment they will take. Cash is cash. Credit cards and checks can be canceled or the charges reversed and the towing company is out for the money they legitimately should have had in the first place. There needs to be a trade off. If you park your car with no regard for private property ownership and your car gets towed as a result, then you should definitely have a choice as to how it's handled. Either you pay the towing and storage fee to get your car back or you plea guilty to misdemeanor trespassing and give the city the money instead. That's the easiest solution to keep you from doing something you aren't supposed to be doing in the first place. YOU are the reason why property owners have to ask towing companies to remove illegally parked cars.  (Mar 18, 2009 | post #10)

Haywood man jailed after police find weapons cache

All the cops need is "reasonable suspicion" and they can pretty much do what they want. The smart cops don't abuse this authority. There is no limit to the number of firearms or ammunition you can own... yet. I wouldn't trust your liberty to the government, either. A government that has nothing to fear from the people it governs has no reason to deny those same people the right to defend themselves from criminals or the government itself. I don't know what kind of crap they are teaching in the public education camps, but we have two voting generations that have no clue as to what their rights are and how limited the government is supposed to be.  (Feb 2, 2009 | post #18)

I Got This Email

You do realize all of this started long before Obama or W. ever got into office, right? Congress proposes the budget. All the president does is sign it. We've changed presidents, but has congress really changed that much over the last 16 years? Not really. Therein lies the problem.  (Jan 31, 2009 | post #19)
