Hi Tazmin, being a guy, lady products about periods is not my area but I could suggest a few things; 1* You could use your nappy but considering how expensive they are, it might not be worth using them for that. 2* You could use a tampon and still use your nappy as normal. 3* You could try the Tena Maxi Lady Pad range, most chemists and superstores sell these, and just like a normal period pads but really thick and absorbent for both periods and weak-to-mild incontinence, however if you do wee a lot then don't use the pads. 4* Wear your nappy as normal and think of it as normal underwear and use a normal everyday pad, just check it now and again to see if it needs changing, doesn't matter if you wee on a period pad as it would just be absorbed by it and then the nappy will hopefully take care of any flooding or extra wee and then change both at the same time. All I can say is, try the options above and see which you feel most comfortable with. Any more help or advice just email or send me a message on here. Take care, hugs. (May 8, 2013 | post #3134)
It was caused by a kidney stone becoming a bladder stop which caused nerve damaged when trying to remove it ... I wasn't fully potty trained till 5 as my bladder muscles wern't good so only 7 years with out wearing them and now it's 24/7 (May 5, 2013 | post #3129)
I've found them to be the same thickness, just the maxi has better absorbency between the legs, depending on what type of trousers/jeans/sho rts etc you wear, I wear loose fitting jeans and shorts and no one has ever noticed in 15 years. Just avoid tight fitted jeans and that other wise it will throw some questions in the air. If your going to the pool or beach you can get either 1 piece or 2 piece swimming gear just google them. Any more problems feel free to email me, be happy to help: nappyguyuk@hotmail .co.uk ... I've been incontinent since I was about 12, I'm now 26. (May 5, 2013 | post #3127)
All Tenas I believe are the same thickness just different absorbances - it just depends on how much you wee and how often during the day/night and if your aware of when your been - I would say super (Green) or maxi (Purple) are normally the best for 24/7 incontinence (May 3, 2013 | post #3124)
